5 Local Festivals You Need To Attend This Summer
The summer festival season is upon us and OZ EDM has compiled our list of 5 local festival you need to attend this summer.
With the number of festival fans continuing to grow, every year there are new music extravaganzas tailor-made to suit all types of musical tastes. Whether you’re looking to get lost in the mountains with the sounds of bluegrass, or you fancy something more cosmopolitan, there’s a musical paradise for you.
05. Field Day
Field Day will return to Sydney’s Domain in 2016 and bring with it some must-see acts you can’t afford to miss. UK duo Disclosure, Australia’s own Flight Facilities and English indie-rockers The Wombats will be leading the pack of artists helping punters kick off the first day of 2016.

04. Beyond The Valley
Victoria’s New Year’s Eve music festival Beyond The Valley is heading to its new home in the Gippsland Parklands, roughly 90 minutes east of Melbourne. The new site, which organisers say will play host “for 2015 and beyond”, consists of green fields scattered around a lake, with rolling hills in the distance.
Once again spread across two stages, Beyond The Valley 2015/2016 will see campers enjoy excellent tunes as well as a diverse range of gourmet food options, from food-trucks to boutique beer and cocktail bars. 03. Rhythm & Vines
Dance fiends of New Zealand, your New Years Plans are sorted. Rhythm & Vines will once again do the honours this NYE and bring the finest in electronic, hip hop and bass music to NZ shores.
With their biggest lineup to date, the 2015 event will see none other than Nero, Sub Focus (DJ Set) Mac Miller, Pendulum (DJ Set), RL Grime and Scribe take the headline positions. Other must-see acts include Golden Features, Zeds Dead, Peking Duk, Barely Alive and Angus & Julia Stone.

Annual Victorian dance and electronic music festival Earthcore returns to the idyllic surrounds of Pyalong this November.
The seriously impressive roster of acts will descend upon Pyalong — about 90 kilometres outside of Melbourne — for five days, from 26 November to 30 November. With a lineup of artists that features the likes of Infected Mushroom, Vini Vici, Coming Soon!!!, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Interactive Noize and Webber to name a few; it’s definately a must-do for any fans of psytrance, deep house and techno.
