Delta Heavy aka Ben Hall and Simon James are the most exciting duo to hit drum n bass dancefloors since Chase & Status and Nero. Although, if anything, their music is even harder and heavier, darker and more multi-textured. 2016 certainly hasn’t been an ordinary year for the UK bass act and the duo are about to shift things up a notch yet again. They kicked off the year with their debut album Paradise Lost, which launched straight into the top 10 electronic charts in the UK and US. The album was nothing short of groundbreaking.

An amazing summer saw Delta Heavy play everywhere from Glastonbury to the Warehouse Project, and as we approach the end of 2016, things certainly aren’t slowing down. The last 10 days have been extra exceptional for Hall and James. first there was the huge announcement of their upcoming BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, followed by the release of ‘Kill Room’ on RAM Records, a single that set the industry alight.

And now Delta Heavy will return to Australasia with the announcement of a massive 8-date tour this summer.

    • “Without You” Sees Kill The Noise & Seven Lions Reunite For Massive New Single kill-the-noise-seven-lions-without-you-oz-edm-feature

US dance music headliners Kill The Noise and Seven Lions reunite on “Without You”, the third lead single off Kill The Noise’s first album in 6 years, ‘EMBRACE’. This is the power duo’s third collaboration after releasing “Horizon” in 2018 with Tritonal and HALIENE and the dubstep-psytrance fan favorite “The Blood” in 2019. Singer Julia Ross, who’s achieved two Billboard #1 records as a co-writer for BTS, provides the perfect vocal performance over the groovy, driving house beat that switches to a huge melodic festival Ophelia Records 2021 banger in the second act. “Without You” continues the string of high performing collabs between the two producers and blends the best of their sound design, styles and melodic sensibility for another unforgettable, genre-blending track. The music of Jake Stanczak, better known as American producer and DJ, Kill the Noise, was born out of an era where Ridley Scott imagined utopian futures on the silver screen, and artists like NIN and Aphex Twin rocked MTV. After channeling the influences of his youth through over a decades’ worth of forward driven electronic releases (Roots, Kill Kill Kill, Black Magic, Occult Classic), and charismatic live shows (Coachella, EDC Lollapalooza, Hardfest), the name “Kill the Noise” has become synonymous with some of the leading acts in dance music — getting creative in the studio with the likes of Dillon Francis, Deadmau5, AWOLNATION and Skrillex — and as 2020 unfolds, he’ll be unveiling even more material. Producer Seven Lions has never had a problem breaking rules and transcending musical boundaries to satisfy his creative vision. Catching his break after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep-focused version of Above & Beyond’s “You Got to Go”, Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, garnered support from the likes of Anjunabeats, Casablanca Records, OWSLA, Viper Recordings, Republic Records, and Monstercat over the past eight years. After years of floating around from labels, Seven Lions compiled his own label in 2018 called Ophelia Records. Since its emergence, the melodic bass label has made its imprint being voted the Best Label of 2019 by r/edm, releasing multiple #1 iTunes Dance albums and hosting festival stage takeovers across the country. His productions have seen stages at world-renowned festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival (New York and Las Vegas), Electric Forest, Electric Zoo, South by Southwest, and HARD.

In just 3 years, JP Orchison has taken the Blanke project from his native Australia to the World. Named Break Out Artist on Subreddit R/EDM’s best of 2019 & inking a deal with United Talent Agency, Blanke (in his first year of North American Touring) was booked to play on festivals like Paradiso, Global Dance, Hard Summer, Dancefestopia & EDC Las Vegas, was a regular on lineups for Brands like Deadbeats and Brownies & Lemonade and was selected as a support act for Illenium’s massive ‘Ascend’ Arena Tour in mid-late 2019 before kicking off 2020 with a 40+ date tour across North America as main support for Black Tiger Sex Machine. Blanke showed no signs of slowing down throughout the lockdown. Official Remixes landed for Slander Seven Lions and Zeds Dead & Subtronics & his single ‘Alchemy’ hit the #1 most played position on triple j Radio. In January this year he was named to EDM.com’s Class of 2021, and was one of the first acts to announce a post lockdown National tour in his native Australia. Returning to North America in July 2021, Blanke has just announced a string of dates including EDC Las Vegas, Lost Lands, Electric Zoo New York, Ophelia’s Pantheon Tour and main support for Sullivan King’s Loud and Reckless Tour. The singer/songwriter and vocal producer RUNN’s extremely honest lyrics are a validation to all those who feel unsupported with their vulnerable feelings, as well as an inspiration to finding the light. RUNN’s ability to capture sincere visceral emotions and perform at the highest level has led her to be one of the most sought after vocalists having worked with top-tier talent like Illenium, Steve Aoki, Seven Lions, Dabin and many more. • Koven Release New Single ‘Take It Away’ koven-take-it-away-oz-edm-feature

Koven’s rise just before the pandemic took hold a contemporary story of a duo’s dedication to their craft, which can be seen through both an electric live presence and also the sheer quality of their releases. These are elements which they never pulled the brakes on during lockdown; their work ethic is second to none, shown in the creation of their virtual reality club space as well as a number of phenomenal live sets which brought Katie Koven into fan’s living rooms. Although having re-kickstarted a jam packed touring schedule (including dates in Europe, New Zealand, Australia and North America), on top of dropping several releases in its lead up on UKF and NCS, now Koven have returned to Monstercat following the mammoth success of their album ‘Butterfly Effect’ which premiered on the label. It’s a move that sees them come full-circle, in a similar dynamic to their recent set at Belgium’s Rampage festival in March, the groundbreaking show which brought their beloved ‘Butterfly Effect’ to tens of thousands. “Take It Away” is the brand new single from Max and Katie, with Max sitting in the production booth and Katie lending her award-winning vocal prowess to the mix. Featuring the same depth which is notable within the entirety of Koven’s catalog, it’s heartbreak hidden in the high-energy drums, recounting what it’s like to let go of a relationship for fear of the void that follows. It takes its listener once more into their emotive landscapes which many have become familiar with. Something which is apparent at Koven’s shows, when Katie takes the mic and inspires crowds to follow their lyrics word for word. Adding to the record’s epicness, it also features the ‘Parallax Orchestra’, the same group behind the Eminem and Clean Bandit shows at Wembley Arena, as well as Bring Me The Horizon and Architects UK #1 albums. A fact adding to its musicality and already the pairs impressive profile. Max shares, “We started the EP at Middle Farm Studios in July 2021 and “Take It Away” was actually the first track we wrote, so it made sense to start here with the releases too. We then got a knock on the door of the studio and it was my old music theory tutor who was in recording with another band. He’s been doing all the string arrangements for Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, and others, so the strings you can hear on this record were arranged by him and recorded by the Parallax Orchestra!” Katie adds, “I’m so excited for this to be our first single back after not releasing anything since last year. I think it’s something quite different for us but really special. It’s such a pretty track, it’s heartbreaking but also hopeful. I hope people connect with it the way we have.” The softly spoken intro carried through by Katie, with its orchestral undertones, draws you into the record’s intense energy as the record kicks into play. It’s one more certified mainstage anthem from Koven, as the summer season begins. With a stacked list of headline shows and festival dates forthcoming for Koven, EDC (USA), Love Saves The Day (UK), Tomorrowland (BE), as well as a full package of music in the pipeline, the duo are staying true to what made them stand out, with their success a testament to their authenticity. 2022 is a new chapter for Koven, but they’re still following the same explosive ascent.

    • QUIX goes DnB on “Enter With Caution” quix-enter-with-caution-feature-oz-edm

Press play on “Enter With Caution” and you know you’re listening to drum n bass perfection. With an alluring and melodic dnb production from QUIX, it seems like Alix Robson’s vocals were made for an anthemic tune like this. The bright and melodic dnb single has an energetic bassline with an orchestral background and driving pianos, which matches the passion behind Alix’s vocals on the track. With a production reminiscent of early Netsky, QUIX digs into his drum n bass prowess to align with the vocal he received from Alix. On the production process, he says: “It all started when I was sent the demo vocal from Alix…I stopped everything I was doing and listened to it for about 10 straight minutes.  It was so magical and powerful all in one and I knew it needed the most triumphant instrumental!  I got to work ASAP and after roughly 6 different drop ideas, 15 different session files and 25 exported versions I finally got there and BOOM here is Enter With Caution!!!  This beautiful vocal from Alix was the key to unlocking the power of this song, and with the hectic orchestral drum and bass dinger behind it, I knew we had something very special.”  – QUIX Hailing all the way from New Zealand, QUIX initially traveled to North America in 2017 for 10 shows and finished up doing an astonishing 42. He has been tearing up the trap scene ever since, continuously shaking new ground with his unique sound design.
