    • Subtronics Confirms Sophomore Album “TESSERACT” subtronics-tesseract-oz-edm

The spiritual successor to “FRACTALS” arrives on February 16th, 2024. Subtronics, the maestro of bass music, has once again embarked on a journey into the realm of unstable particles with the announcement of his highly-anticipated sophomore album, “TESSERACT.” Following the success of his debut album, “FRACTALS,” released just over two years ago, Subtronics is gearing up to unveil the next chapter in his musical odyssey. Scheduled to drop on Friday, February 16th, “TESSERACT” not only shares its name with the bass music superstar’s current tour but also promises to redefine the boundaries of his sonic universe. The year 2024 has already proven to be a whirlwind for Subtronics, who recently announced his fourth Red Rocks takeover, “Cyclops Rocks,” and unleashed his second collaboration with Rezz, titled “Black Ice.” Reflecting on “TESSERACT,” Subtronics expressed his vision for the album as a pivotal moment in his artistic evolution. “I hope [TESSERACT] leaves a long-lasting impact on the listener and the dance music community as a whole. It is truly something I can look back on in 30 years and still be proud of because I know that this is the sound I am truly passionate about, and I really gave it my everything. This album is my second child, more than two years in the making, and I poured everything I could into it.” In conjunction with the album, the team behind Cyclops Recordings has meticulously crafted a bespoke audiovisual experience, perfectly complementing the otherworldly essence of “TESSERACT.” Commenting on the album’s sonic landscape, Subtronics elaborated, “Sonically speaking, I believe this wholly represents my personality and sound as best as I can thus far, with the things I have learned over the years, in conjunction with what I have recently been inspired by. ‘TESSERACT’ is a proper sequel to my first album ‘FRACTALS,’ and in the same sense, I once again aimed to demonstrate my range in style, sound, and emotion. Some songs are meant for the dancefloor, some are meant for the car, and some are meant to serenade you to sleep. I am trying as best I can to create an immersive alternative reality with a magical yet sci-fi-esque world of energy and feeling across the entire spectrum.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Subtronics (@subtronics)

    • REZZ Unveils It’s Not A Phase EP rezz-its-not-a-phase-ep-feature-oz-edm

REZZ Unveils ‘IT’S NOT A PHASE’ EP, Showcasing a Captivating Blend of Goth-Inspired Rocktronic Sounds. Renowned Canadian producer REZZ has unleashed her latest musical project, ‘IT’S NOT A PHASE’ EP, a mesmerizing exploration of goth-inspired rocktronic compositions that pay homage to her early musical influences. Released under her own label HypnoVizion, the EP ventures beyond the confines of mid-tempo bass music, featuring collaborations with rock and alternative heavyweights such as Silverstein, Grabbitz, Tim Henson of Polyphia, and Johnny Goth. The focus track of the EP, “Dreamstate,” transports listeners to the realm of massive emo hits from the 2000s, infused with a strikingly modern and heavy bassline that only REZZ could conceive. This project signifies the evolution of REZZ as she confidently steps into her “goth era,” pushing creative boundaries and expanding her sonic palette. Reflecting on the inspiration behind ‘IT’S NOT A PHASE,’ REZZ shares, “With this goth EP, I’ve really encapsulated some of my early inspiration musically before I even got into dance music. I grew up listening to bands exclusively, and over time developed an understanding of what it was about those songs that I loved. Lots of use of guitar, eerie melodies, and distorted basses – this is a blend between sounds I’m known for while also expanding on my range with using new vocal styles & instruments.” Having garnered tremendous success throughout her career, REZZ has amassed tens of millions of streams to date and achieved sold-out performances at legendary venues worldwide. She has headlined renowned festivals including Coachella, Austin City Limits, EDC, Electric Forest, Creamfields, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, and more. Notably, her collaboration with Grabbitz, “Someone Else,” released via RCA Records in 2020, amassed over 50 million streams, reached #15 on the Alternative Radio Chart in the US, and secured the #1 position in Canada. REZZ’s remarkable live performances have enthralled audiences worldwide, with her five consecutive sold-out shows at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, including two nights scheduled for August 2023. With over 300 performances to her name, REZZ has consistently sold out venues ranging from 3,500 to 10,000 capacity, while also captivating festival crowds of over 50,000 attendees. The ‘IT’S NOT A PHASE’ EP follows the success of previous releases including ‘Blue In The Face,’ ‘Signals,’ and the recent single ‘Embers.’ Through this latest offering, REZZ continues to cement her position as an innovative and genre-defying artist.
