After a stellar year, techno don i_o continues his hot streak with a brand new ALL ACID mix featuring a string of tracks from his latest EP ‘ACID 444’.

Following a massive performance at EDC Las Vegas in May, i_o has had a busy 2019 with a North American headline tour and was also handpicked to support deadmau5 with his Cube 3.0 live shows.

    • Spencer Brown releases div003 EP – ‘Reforma / Polybomba’

Spencer Brown continues his string of impressive releases on his newly minted diviine label with ‘Reforma / Polybomba.’ The ominous ‘Reforma’ shows off Spencer’s darker production side with its brooding techno sounds (plus it’s paired with a remix from the iconic Weska). ‘Polybomba’ skews more towards the progressive indie-dance side of the house music spectrum and delivers on an ID Spencer’s fans have coveted for quite some time. A who’s who of the electronic music elite have been supporting spencer’s music in their sets including Adam Beyer, John Digweed, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, and Ida Engberg, to name a few. “The third release on diviine showcases my darker side,” Spencer says. “‘Reforma’ is a groove tool that has been exploding in my sets. It was first debuted in Chicago, and the crowd reaction blew me away. The main sample along with the drum fill are both me playing the drums! ‘Polybomba is a progressive indie-dance leaning stomper. I opened my massive diviine inspirations show in San Francisco with this track, and it’s been a highly requested ID since then. Both tracks fit perfectly on diviine as “chill bangers” with creative freedom.” With regards to tapping Weska as a remixer for ‘Reforma’ Spencer adds “I’ve looked up to Weska as a producer for years. My most played track on Spotify in 2019 was Weska’s “EQ64.” During the pandemic, we became friends and worked on a few collaborative ideas (all unreleased at the moment). It’s truly an honor to have him as the first remixer ever on diviine with this killer roller.” “I’ve always looked up to Spencer as an artist, a DJ, and as a genuinely cool dude, so I was stoked when he asked me to give Reforma a spin. The original track is pretty percussive with a few melodic elements and a vocal sample, so I had a lot of creative freedom when writing it. The result is a deep, chugging, and slightly progressive groover that I hope you all will love to play,” Weska shares. • Alan Fitzpatrick Injects Nostalgia Into Peak-Time Techno Two-Tracker ‘Stronger / Chant’ alan-fitzpatrick-2022-oz-edm-feature

The UK-based veteran constructs a pair of nostalgia-laced techno weapons for his label debut on Factory 93. Southampton’s venerated producer Alan Fitzpatrick washes over with nostalgia on his new double-sided single ‘Stronger / Chant,’ serving as his label debut on the burgeoning Factory 93 imprint. A universally respected and in-demand producer, Alan Fitzpatrick has succeeded in carving out his own musical niche within the ever-expanding genre of techno, earning him the reputation of a seemingly unstoppable source of hit music. This ability is on full display on his debut appearance with Factory 93 Records, ‘Stronger / Chant.’ “Stronger” kicks off with hard and crispy drums before a well-timed backspin effect gives way to a piano-and breaks-combo that will transport clubbers back to 1992. As the kick comes barreling back in, chopped-up diva vocals soar through the mix before everything cuts out to unleash a flurry of rave stabs. The track absorbs all the best elements of classic rave into a peak-time techno mind-melter. “This track was born during the early lockdown stages of covid,” says Alan Fitzpatrick. “I was just reminiscing on the good old days and memories of early rave culture.” says Alan Fitzpatrick. “Nostalgia crept in a lot during this time, and I wanted to express that through the frustration of uncertainty around touring.” “Chant” is a more straight-ahead warehouse workout with its relentless beats and chunky low-end. Ethereal vocals and pads give the track an eerie tinge as it develops, with skittering hats and claps twisting through the mix to add to its driving intensity. “A nod to the tribal techno vibes of the ‘90s and early noughties; I really love the energy in this track, and I think it’s a great pairing with ‘Stronger’ due to the fact they are very different,” he adds. “Both are packed with energy and I’m excited to share them with the world.” Alan Fitzpatrick has been pushing the underground culture ever-forward for more than a decade and counting, and his debut release on Factory 93 honors his roots in the best way imaginable. Alan Fitzpatrick’s new release ‘Stronger / Chant’ is available on all platforms via Factory 93 Records.
