    • “Without You” Sees Kill The Noise & Seven Lions Reunite For Massive New Single kill-the-noise-seven-lions-without-you-oz-edm-feature

US dance music headliners Kill The Noise and Seven Lions reunite on “Without You”, the third lead single off Kill The Noise’s first album in 6 years, ‘EMBRACE’. This is the power duo’s third collaboration after releasing “Horizon” in 2018 with Tritonal and HALIENE and the dubstep-psytrance fan favorite “The Blood” in 2019. Singer Julia Ross, who’s achieved two Billboard #1 records as a co-writer for BTS, provides the perfect vocal performance over the groovy, driving house beat that switches to a huge melodic festival Ophelia Records 2021 banger in the second act. “Without You” continues the string of high performing collabs between the two producers and blends the best of their sound design, styles and melodic sensibility for another unforgettable, genre-blending track. The music of Jake Stanczak, better known as American producer and DJ, Kill the Noise, was born out of an era where Ridley Scott imagined utopian futures on the silver screen, and artists like NIN and Aphex Twin rocked MTV. After channeling the influences of his youth through over a decades’ worth of forward driven electronic releases (Roots, Kill Kill Kill, Black Magic, Occult Classic), and charismatic live shows (Coachella, EDC Lollapalooza, Hardfest), the name “Kill the Noise” has become synonymous with some of the leading acts in dance music — getting creative in the studio with the likes of Dillon Francis, Deadmau5, AWOLNATION and Skrillex — and as 2020 unfolds, he’ll be unveiling even more material. Producer Seven Lions has never had a problem breaking rules and transcending musical boundaries to satisfy his creative vision. Catching his break after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep-focused version of Above & Beyond’s “You Got to Go”, Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, garnered support from the likes of Anjunabeats, Casablanca Records, OWSLA, Viper Recordings, Republic Records, and Monstercat over the past eight years. After years of floating around from labels, Seven Lions compiled his own label in 2018 called Ophelia Records. Since its emergence, the melodic bass label has made its imprint being voted the Best Label of 2019 by r/edm, releasing multiple #1 iTunes Dance albums and hosting festival stage takeovers across the country. His productions have seen stages at world-renowned festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival (New York and Las Vegas), Electric Forest, Electric Zoo, South by Southwest, and HARD.

    • Tasmanian Duo Sumner Slice Through The Dark With New Single ‘Good Light’ sumner-good-things-2022-oz-edm-feature

Since joining forces with Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes of PNAU, 2021 produced magical moments for the lutruwita / Tasmania electronic duo Sumner (Chloe Wilson and Jack McLaine). Their breakthrough single ‘Stranded’ become a festival favourite and was voted in the top 200 tracks of triple j’s coveted Hottest 100. The band also gifted us a stunningly cinematic live performance of ‘Stranded’ from a deserted runway when interstate travel and live shows were a fading reality. Back and in form, Sumner’s new single ‘Good Light’ is a leap forward for the duo, who captured our hearts and attention just 18 months ago. A pulsing dance anthem preaching the undeniable connection between artist and audience, ‘Good Light’ showers listeners in a message of love and support during such trying times. In their latest release Sumner show off their signature electro-pop essence heard in previous singles ‘Stranded’ and ‘South’. “’Good Light’ is an ode for our audience members and listeners,” explain Sumner. “It explores our devotion to them, alongside an offering of mutual understanding in regard to the way our bleak futures on Earth are heading. It’s an invitation to come in and let go of life’s mundane and monotonous stresses; lose yourself in the moment with us while we lose ourselves in you.” Opening up about her history with epilepsy last year, Chloe’s defining message was toward live shows becoming a more inclusive environment for all people to be safe. A theme uniquely presented in the lyrics of ‘Good Light’, which was co-written and produced with Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes (PNAU, Empire of the Sun). Sumner detail the writing process behind ‘Good Light’: “The track came to fruition in a writing session with Nick and Chloe in 2021. The whole team felt that the track was a standout from the start, and so it was passed on to Peter and Jack to polish it off. The result is a pulsating, electric record driven by real emotion and life experience.”  “’Good Light’ is about our dedication to our art and our audience. The music video follows the progression of fire, from its ignition into an intense flame. Through years of being in conversation and growing with our audience, we gradually become our truest form as individuals and learn more about who we all are as a people. To us, the fire signifies that reciprocal thing that we’ve created together which continues to grow. The video was shot on 16mm film over the course of a manic weekend in lutruwita / Tasmania. Directed by Jacob Collings, with cinematography by Ursula Woods, assisted by Robert Agostino, we shot a combination of studio and on-location footage, combining the real and surreal.” Sumner are the third signing to Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes’ Lab78 label with Nick Littlemore first coming across Jack and Chloe at a festival in Tasmania. “Pete and I came across this band while on tour in regional Tasmania. We shared a stage together at the Forth pub on a sweet breezy day a few years back. We were struck by their fierce intensity. Chloe commanded the stage conjuring notes of Chrissie Hynde, Iggy Pop and Karen Finley. Jack the uber-cool, multi-instrumental wonder dazzling on any synth/bass or guitar he picks up and plays.”  Sumner’s debut release on Lab78, ‘Stranded’, was a breakthrough moment for the duo, hitting the top 30 on Shazam nationally, top 5 on the Spotify Viral chart, receiving a full addition to triple j and amassing two million streams. Following on from their second release ‘South’, ‘Good Light’ is the latest piece of the puzzle in the Sumner story and will be available on Lab78 from July 1st. Sure to be a fantastic addition to Sumner’s exhilarating live shows, you can catch Sumner at Wine Machine Festival in South Australia this December.

Multi-Platinum producer R3HAB joins forces with one of Australia’s most formidable singers/songwriters Amy Shark for “Sway My Way,” an organic take on Bic Runga’s renowned song “Sway.” The new single marks a creative departure from R3HAB’s signature high-energy dance music style with a more laid-back feel. It’s definitely one of the most banging tracks on the record—we referenced some of our favorite club music for the drum programming and had fun envisioning the time when we could finally play this live. It had an amazing reaction at our Red Rocks shows last month which was really special for us.” – RÜFÜS DU SOL Arriving via the Aussie trio’s own Rose Avenue Records, as well as Reprise/Warner Records, “On My Knees” finds RÜFÜS DU SOL leaning into the darker sounds that have so frequently conferred a contemplative character to their back catalog, from the song’s lyrical narrative to its technical framework. • Kult Kyss’ Release Euphoric New Single ‘So Alive’ kult-kyss-so-alive-oz-edm-feature

Melbourne electronic duo Kult Kyss are back with a captivating new track, ‘So Alive’, produced alongside acclaimed Australian producer LUCIANBLOMKAMP. Created in the depths of lockdown, vocalist Rromarin and producer Haxx have conjured pure magic with ‘So Alive’, creating a hypnotic track that yearns to uplift the spirits of everyone it comes across. ‘So Alive’ is lifted from Kult Kyss’ upcoming debut EP Ultra Sound, set for release in November and also featuring collaborations with the likes of BRUX and Motez.  Kult Kyss explains, “‘So Alive’ was born in the midst of the pandemic, at a time when things felt incredibly limited and uncertain. The experience of being in lockdown forced us to shift our perspectives from constantly looking towards the future to living fully in the present. ‘So Alive’ is inspired by this, and explores the magic and beauty that can be found in living in the moment, day by day. In creating the track we wanted to pay homage to early ‘90s dance music, incorporating dusty sampled breaks with euphoric synths and a simple, mantra-like vocal hook. We were also fortunate enough to work with our friend LUCIANBLOMKAMP (who has produced for Khalid & US-rapper 6LACK) on additional production, who brought his signature gritty 2-step sound to the track.” ‘So Alive’ is an extension of the Kult Kyss sound that we’ve come to know and love over the last few years. The pair’s recent releases ‘Kill That Beat’ and ‘God Is A Bassline’ saw high rotation on triple j Unearthed, earning support from Spotify with editorial placements in New Music Friday, New Dance Beats and Top Shelf Electronic. This past year, Kult Kyss also had the opportunity to invite fans into their universe while supporting Running Touch at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, performing live at Meadow Music Festival and joining Motez on triple j’s Mix Up. Kult Kyss know how to elicit feelings within their audience, and ‘So Alive’ is no different.
