Joel Fletcher & HP BOYZ Join Forces On New Track ‘Flacko’

Joel Fletcher & HP BOYZ Represent Hampton Park & Showcase The Melbourne Sound With ‘Flacko’

Multi-platinum selling artist Joel Fletcher has teamed up with fellow Hampton Park locals HP BOYZ to bring you ‘Flacko’; a track where hefty dance music meets hip-hop flawlessly. Joel Fletcher has been on a hot streak in 2020; his track ‘Vibe’ hit over 1 million streams, cracked the Spotify Viral chart and got to #14 on the Shazam chart in Sydney, with his follow up ‘The Den’ making him the face of Spotify’s Monster Dance Hits playlist. Now teaming up with HP ONIT from Hampton Park hip hop crew HP BOYZ, ‘Flacko’ is primed for greatness.

On ‘Flacko’, Joel Fletcher said, “This collaboration really hits home for me. I grew up in Hampton Park (HP) as a young kid and spent most of my life there up until six years ago. When I first heard the HP Boyz’ music I was blown away and I had to reach out to work on something.  I love what ONIT and the HP Boyz are doing. They are the pioneers of a movement and are representing where we are from during the process. This record really resembles the true Melbourne Sound with a cranking baseline, screaming horns and an epic rap verse from HP ONIT. THIS IS FLACKO.”

HP ONIT from HP BOYZ adds, “This is a huge collaboration for us (HP BOYZ) as we’ve always looked up to Joel Fletcher growing up.  He was the first one to put Hampton Park on the map, before us he ran the ball up for our area. When I started high school he was/still is running shit when it comes to Melbourne Sound. So this means a lot to us, and our area, we hope to keep inspiring the next generation of talent, especially the ones in OUR AREA.  As Joel said, this resembles the ‘Melbourne Sound’, so we’re proudly representing not just Hampton Park because we are both from there, but the whole city of MELBOURNE.”

Joel Fletcher was synonymous with the global phenomenon of Bounce from its inception, leading the charge with his #2 ARIA single, 4 x platinum hit ‘Swing’ featuring Savage, and his platinum hit ‘Bring It Back’ with Will Sparks. His recent collaborations and releases have seen success in DJ circles with support from Robin Schulz, Wolfpack, Ostblockschlampen, Drop The Cheese, Will Sparks, Martin Jensen, David Guetta, Momis Alanis, Mariana Bo, Tigerlily amongst many others.

Located in the South Eastern Suburb of Melbourne known as Hampton Park, Junior Mika, Samoa Fune and Tino Taito – otherwise known as HP BOYZ – started off as close friends in the early stages of their life, becoming a brotherhood in their early teens and found a way out through music. Their first single ‘Blueprint’ racked up over 200,000 views within a fortnight and their single ‘Engineers’ has had over 10 million views on YouTube plus another 18 million plays on Spotify, and follow up single ‘Bad & Bouj’ racking up over 15 million combined streams.
