English producer JOYRYDE has dropped his latest single “MADDEN” off his forthcoming album BRAVE.

Out now on HARD Recs, the track features a samples from Method Man’s ‘Release Yo Delf’ and JOYRYDE‘s fast and heavy signature bass house sound. Built to destroy dance floors, “MADDEN” features crafty progressions and synths add a hint of futurism to the high-powered mix.

JOYRYDE explains the track was in fact named with an iconic a Lamborghini in mind.

“After seeing the movie The Wolf Of Wall Street, I knew I wanted to do something with a Lamborghini Countach. It’s such a beautiful, scary thing that no one ever gets to see in person. On July 26th we had 2 of them on stage at my show in the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. It was a dream come true to do something like that…If you’ve seen The Wolf Of Wall Street, you know: ‘M A A A D E N!’ The track was such a fire moment that night, so I wanted it to be glued to its history.”JOYRYDE

    • Arky Waters Releases New Single “Back To You” arky-waters-feature-oz-edm

Arky Waters caps the year off with his new single ‘Back To You’ featuring the vocals of Jade Alice. This marks Arky’s first collaboration with another vocalist – Jade’s dream pop roots and catchy hooks move with the emotional depths of the track, capturing us through the tender and darker moments. “We made this track around COVID times, I sent her a DM and I honestly didn’t expect a reply, she ended up being open to working with me even though I had nothing out at the time. I sent over an idea that she vibed with and she sent back the hook that’s currently on the track. Once I heard that hook I basically ended up crafting the song around the vocal. For our first time working together it went super smooth; she’s talented as hell. I’d been a fan of her stuff for a while so it was cool to finally make something together.” The track is paired with a four part visualiser made by upcoming Sydney artist Don Kaiyote; the collaboration explores themes of young love, heartbreak and loneliness. “The most important part of this project was to make something that felt close to us – we wanted to capture beauty in something that was quite real and ordinary, something we’ve all felt before.” The video takes us through the journey of young love as a person of colour growing up in western society, diving into the complexities of the modern-day “situationship” and the feelings that revolve around that behind closed doors. Arky Waters is a Sydney based artist exploring his early love for indie/folk with the electronic textures of rave music. Starting in 2020,it began as an outlet from his usual work with alt-rock band ‘Silvers’, and soon blossomed into its own project as he found his feet in production. The songs act as a soundtrack to his life growing up in the suburbs of Australia, bridging the gap between indie/folk songwriting and the pulse of electronic music.

    • Flight Facilities release two-track EP, Lost Forever flight-facilities-2022-feature-oz-edm

Today, iconic Sydney duo Flight Facilities return to share a two-track EP, Lost Forever available now via Future Classic. As a pseudo-epilogue to their sophomore album FOREVER, both tracks represent the duo’s journey 12 months since its release. Having eclipsed the nation with their headline tour, alongside executing their own mammoth festival juggernaut, Airfields, that saw some of the brightest local and international acts perform to an open-air crowd, Hugo Gruzman and Jimmy Lyell now reveal and celebrate some of their favourite unreleased moments from the FOREVER era. First debuted during the duo’s pre-album NEVER FOREVER livestream, “Feel It” is a historic house heater starring a ceremonious arrangement of Flight Facilities synths that are warm, airy and arresting in unity. The coolly transposed beat and sampled vocals direct a clubbier mood before Owl Eyes delivers a melody of haunting beauty. The accompanying visualiser from Babekuhl pastiches a transfixing array of grainy 70s film footage of a child and his family. Flight Facilities fans will recognise that second track, “Planet Claire” has become a mainstay in the duo’s dynamic live shows. A dedication to an electronic great in their eyes, Booka Shade, the journeyed song is punctuated by evolving jabs of modular synths and analog rhythms. Layered with delicate and infectious complexity, the track receives a fitting visualiser from Babekuhl. Laced with neon green FF logos, a fast-moving rotation of shapes in kaleidoscopic form becomes hypnotic. Flight Facilities say on Lost Forever: “It’s already been 12 months since we released our last album. Several tracks were left on the cutting room floor of FOREVER, but it felt wrong to leave them unreleased. ‘Planet Claire’ has formed an integral part of our live show in the past 6-12 months, and it’s our little homage to a favourite artist, Booka Shade. ‘Feel It’ was one of the first demo’s we wrote after Down To Earth. We’ve sat on it for years, constantly updating and picking at it, eventually adding vocals from Owl Eyes. There’s a certain magic in this tune that captures the nostalgia of us messing around in the studio together.” Flight Facilities’ second studio album, FOREVER is the culminating result of many years of experimentation between the Sydney pair. Starring a string of 2021 releases, including “Lights Up” feat. Channel Tres, “Move” feat. DRAMA, club-ready cut “The Ghost”, and “Forever” feat. Broods, the record received praise and recognition from GQ, Rolling Stone, 10 Magazine, before being named Spotlight Album by triple j. The pair soon after hit the road for their FOREVER national tour, showcasing the record in the Australian live arena before travelling to America for an epic run of dates. Never to slow down, the pair next made their way to Europe for a series of dates and appearances across the summer season. Having come a long way from their 2010 singles “Crave You” feat. Giselle Rosselli and “Foreign Language”, Flight Facilities have sold more than 150,000 tickets and accumulated over a billion streams globally, and scored three ARIA nominations and gold certification for their debut album Down To Earth in 2014. The pair have seen eight Hottest 100 placings, an ARIA-Award for their 2015 live album Live With The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and enduring appreciation for consistently defying sonic trends in their feel-good, dance floor beckoning tunes that have seen them collaborate with superstars and blazing up-and-comers alike, including Aloe Blacc, Kylie Minogue and Reggie Watts. Consistently smashing goals, the pair featured in Apple’s iPhone 13 announcement advertisement with “Lights Up”. On the live stage, Flight Facilities have gained notoriety for bringing together the crowds of Coachella, Japan’s Fuji Rock, the UK’s Bestival, Sydney’s Field Day, and 2019’s Australian Open among many more. • Get Set To ‘Fly Away’ With Dave Winnel’s Latest Dance Anthem dave-winnel-fly-away-2022-oz-edm-feature

Sydney’s own Dave Winnel has been going from strength to strength this year. With a string of singles under his belt, a scene-stealing triple j Like A Version, plus touring for Listen Out, there’s no slowing down for the DJ/producer. Now Dave Winnel releases his new single ‘Fly Away’. Co-written with KLP, ‘Fly Away’ combines super catchy vocals (from KLP also) with tribal rhythms, knocking drums and a prominent live trombone – all jammed with Dave’s signature production style. “KLP has always been on top of my ‘Artists I Want To Collab With list’,” explains Dave. “But I was always scared to actually hit her up to make it happen. Luckily though, she Shazamed one of my tunes off the radio and she hit me up instead. I sent her a very rough instrumental idea which featured the big synth horns and strings backed to the big tribal drums. She came back pretty fast with an epic vocal, adding a monster gang vocal chant over the groove and adding a huge thick layer of harmonies to the breaks. Because the vocal is so large and full of layers, I didn’t need to add many more instruments. I did however want to give the track a more organic and natural sound to it, so I had a trombone player, by the name of ’Trombonhero’, to re-record the trombone part. There’s something special about the articulation between each note when played by a real musician that you just can’t get out of a synth.” ‘Fly Away’ is not the first time Dave Winnel and KLP have worked together. KLP featured on Dave’s Like A Version earlier this year when he took on Toto’s undeniable classic ‘Africa’ and KLP also sang on Dave’s mash up of his original tracks ‘CEO’ & ‘Jungle Juice’. Dave and KLP also went head-to-head in helping Hobba & Hing create their own DOY Supergroup entries in May of this year – but for ‘Fly Away’ they have combined their strengths and are on the same team! Dave Winnel has been making waves over the past two years with a string of singles, ‘Real Life’, ‘Method’, ‘CEO’, ‘Jungle Juice’ ft. Alst3n and ‘Freaking Out’, plus ‘Hallucinations’ on Deadmau5’s Hau5trap imprint. If that weren’t enough, he recently smashed out epic sets at Listen Out Festival and supported the Sunset Bros at their sold-out Hordern Pavilion show. Over his career Dave has collaborated with the legendary Armin Van Buuren on ´The Race´, and produced official remixes for Twenty One Pilots, David Guetta, Bastille, Anne-Marie, Clean Bandit, Hardwell, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Adam Lambert and Galantis, proving himself to be one of Australia’s most prolific electronic acts, racking up over 65 million streams on Spotify alone. Known for his infectious and fun personality that manages to shines through his music, Dave Winnel manages to blend future/tech house with organic quirky instruments. Be sure to catch Dave at one of his upcoming shows this summer. Upcoming  Tour Dates 29 October – Haunted House Bangor Tavern, Bangor 4 November – Woolpack Hotel, Mudgee 11 November – Prohibition, Brisbane 12 November – Hotbox/Exhibition Park, Canberra 26 November – Marlborough Hotel, Sydney 10 December – Beer Deluxe, Albury 17 December – Rhythm Day Club/The Court, Perth 31 December – Good As NYE, The Beachcomber, Toukley 21 January – Lost & Found Festival, Coffs Harbour
