Following on from the success of 2017’s inaugural event, NYE in the Park returns to its home in Victoria Park with a massive line-up and a mission of providing Sydney with a NYE Festival they can be proud of.
Set in the lush gardens of Camperdown’s Victoria Park (just 10 minutes’ walk from Newtown station) and backlit by Sydney’s picturesque skyline, NYE In The Park offers a unique escape from the anticlimactic, overcrowded drama of the CBD and promises a night of live music across two stages, dancing, gourmet street food and affordable drinks in a spacious, relax setting, topped off with our enormous midnight fireworks display.
Helping say adios’ to 2018 will be Australian dance royalty The Presets, who on the back of their massive new album will be bringing their self-described ‘pub rock techno’ to the park’s ornate surrounds. Also joining the party will be indie-rock legends The Jungle Giants, the crisp, clean sounds of Hayden James and festival hit Hot Dub Time Machine.
Dance floor destroyers Confidence Man will also be on site to keep things moving, as will seminal Aussie hip hop outfit Thundamentals, disco extraordinaire Luke Million and Sydney’s own Thandi Phoenix. We are pleased to announce stage 2 takeover by the One Day crew, featuring the hugely anticipated global comeback show of Sydney’s favourite crowd-care duo The Meeting Tree. One Day Djs will help bring in the new year along with rising star CXLOE, Fleetmac Wood, Kinder, SOSUEME DJ’s, Sideboob and Tasker.
With doors opening at 5:00 PM, punters will have ample time – and room – to kick back, relax and watch the sunset over the city with a drink-in-hand, before the fireworks launch and the party starts. A diverse range of gourmet street food and unique drink options will be available on site.
