Sony Music’s Columbia Records have been busy making major moves in the dance industry and the news has officially

Joining Sony Music’s Columbia Records, Swedish House Mafia will join an impressive name of dance legends including Daft Punk, Calvin Harris, LCD Soundsystem and the most recent addition Gesaffelstein.

After a tense bidding war with Universal Music Group’s Republic Records, Columbia Records was able to sign the EDM group; comprised of Steve Angello, Axwell, and Sebastian Ingrosso .

After the trio’s iconic final show at Ultra Music Festival’s 15th anniversary back in 2013, the five year hiatus finished last year at the 20th anniversary festival in Miami. The return of Swedish House Mafia in concert was the highest trending topic for weeks after their reunion show and since then, the trio have been racking up their 2019 itinerary locking in headline slots for Ultra Europe, Ultra Korea, Lollapalooza Berlin and a return to Ibiza.

Swedish House Mafia not only have a new label, but also new management as they look to start a fresh slate in 2019. They announced last month that moving forward they will be represented by Ron Lafitte of Patriot Management. With Swedish House Mafia’s last original music released back in 2012; the trio have confirmed new music is coming out this year.

It looks like fans of the supergroup have a lot to look forward to this year.
