With the Electronic Music Conference (EMC) set to kick off in Sydney, our good friends at the Electronic Music Conference are teaming up with OZ EDM to give away a double pass to this year’s EMC Play event.

EMC Play is a music extravaganza that features a stellar lineup of Australia’s up-and-comers and will be taking over three venues in Sydney on December 2. This year’s most anticipated performing artists include Mash’d N Kutcher, Nicole Millar, LDRU and more.

Last year EMC Play saw over 4000 people attend including international artists such as Skrillex and even a surprise set from British DJ duo Disclosure.

To celebrate, OZ EDM is giving one lucky reader the chance to win a double pass to Sydney’s EMC Play 2015.

For your chance to win, head to our official Facebook page and tell us which artist you are most looking forward to seeing and why.

EMC Play are excited to reveal a huge second line-up of the next crop of Australian talent who are set to perform for fans, industry decision makers and international talent buyers at the country’s leading electronic music showcase platform. The one night showcase party will be taking over three venues, The Basement, Crystal Bar, Taylor’s Rooftop and features a carefully curated line-up of local artists who’ve been identified as the hottest up and coming talent, providing fans with a not to be missed opportunity to catch these acts before they break into the international electronic music scene.

Spearheading the latest line-up announcement is the in demand Sydney production duo Set Mo, who are paving the way for a strong future in the global dance music scene off the back of their new single “White Dress” featuring Deutsch Duke as well as their recent debut festival performance at Splendour In The Grass. Joining them will be rising star Oscar Key Sung who exploded onto the scene with last year’s EP “Holograms” and this year’s “Altruism”, winning over audiences with his sensual soundscape assembles and honeyed R&B vocals.

Making a debut appearance at EMC Play is Melbourne indie rapper Ivan Ooze who has just come off the back of several A-list supports, including Ice Cube and Cypress Hill, as well as his first ever headline tour, cementing his name as one of the future key players in Aussie hip-hop. Also performing on the night will be house producer Dom Dolla who lists DJ support for Diplo, Tchami, Oliver Heldens and Bixel Boys.

19-year-old Brisbane wonderkind Tyler Touché is set to

showcase his latest EP “‘Act Of God”, a sparkly, polished production that follows his delightfully French influenced break-out ‘Baguette’ which earned him a place in the finals of Triple J’s Unearthed High in 2012. Another welcome addition is Tear Council, a project headed by Matt Van Schie from Sydney band Van She with his comrade Michael Di Francesco who will be showcasing the smooth, synthy, lo-fi grooves of their debut single “Anywhere”.

And that’s not all; the above acts are joined by 20-year-old Brisbane beat maker cln, Bathurst’s duo LOLO BX, Melbourne enigma Running Touch, and rounded off by singer songwriter Woodes, plus many more to be announced in the coming weeks.

EMC Play received over 150 applications from hopeful artists looking for the coveted opportunity to join EMC Play alumni KLP, The Kite String Tangle, Motez, Slumberjack, SAFIA and Peking Duk. Last year SAFIA made their debut at EMC Play, and have since sold out shows in Sydney and Melbourne, and become a fixture on the festival circuit including appearances at the likes of The Great Escape, Primavera Festival, SXSW, and Falls Festival.

Each year, the Electronic Music Conference sets the bar higher, bringing together the key decision makers behind dance music’s seemingly endless expansion. As part of EMC’s Incoming Visitors Program in partnership with Australia Council for the Arts, AM Only Senior Agent Denise Melanson will be in Australia exclusively for EMC, along with other industry heavyweights including Head of A&R at Ministry of Sound Jeff Drake, Peking Duk Manager Ben Dennis, Timmy Trumpet Manager Matt Stafford, General Manager of Touring at Ministry of Sound Trent Grimes, plus many more movers and shakers in the electronic music industry.

EMC Play Program Curator Dayna Young said it was exciting to help pave the path to discovery for emerging Australian artists. “You only need to look at the overseas success of electronic acts such as Flume, Peking Duk and Alison

Wonderland to see why Australia has a strong reputation internationally for developing incredible musical talent. With EMC Play we’re providing a valuable opportunity for emerging Australian talent to potentially springboard the careers by connecting them directly with the world’s most influential labels, publishers, talent buyers, agents and managers.”

Full price tickets valued at $35 on sale now here.

EMC delegates will receive priority entry to all EMC Play showcases along with access to two full days of conference, networking sessions and welcome drinks. Second release EMC delegate passes are currently on sale starting at $249: www.electronicmusicconference.com/tickets-2015.

EMC and EMC Play is supported by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, a key strategic partner of the event with the aim of helping to grow the event, and attracting interstate and international visitors and creative professionals to NSW.
