Australia’s Festival X Postponed Until 2019

With summer festival season fast approaching, Australia’s newest musical celebration, FestivalX, has been cancelled just two months before it was scheduled to start.

OZ EDM reported back in August that the team behind Australia’s most loved EDM festival Stereosonic, had banded together to launch a brand new festival for the Australian scene.

The inaugural edition of Festival X was set to kick off in Auckland in late November, before travelling to Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Backed by Hardware, Onelove and touring giant Live Nation, the new addition was shaping up to be the biggest festival of the Australian summer. There had been no line-up announcements since the festival was first announced back in August.

The planned Sydney and Melbourne dates were the same weekend Stereosonic dominated before it finished up after 2015. Its Facebook page states the two promoters had joined forces with Live Nation for the event.
