Australian producer and DJ Blanke announces his largest EP to date and biggest project on Ophelia yet, ‘Land Of The Wayfarer’, will be releasing on Friday, March 4th. As a treat for fans, he’s releasing a third single, the feelsy melodic bass tune “Think Of Me” with SOUNDR two days before the EP release. The EP is his first on Ophelia and includes talented singer/songwriters RUNN, Meggie York, SOUNDR, Esther Sparkes and Donna Tella on some of his most beautifully written and produced melodic dance tracks in Ophelia Records 2021 his career. The BPM shifting heavy intro song “Echo Chamber” and the genre bending “Arc” also bring a darker side to the EP and features Blanke‘s signature halftime sound design mixed with dubstep and even elements of psytrance. All artwork for the EP was also done by Blanke’s own mother, a talented artist and painter, with all flowers, scripts and landscapes inspired by his home country of Australia.
In just 3 years, JP Orchison has taken the Blanke project from his native Australia to the World. Named Break Out Artist on Subreddit R/EDM’s best of 2019 & inking a deal with United Talent Agency, Blanke (in his first year of North American Touring) was booked to play on festivals like Paradiso, Global Dance, Hard Summer, Dancefestopia & EDC Las Vegas, was a regular on lineups for Brands like Deadbeats and Brownies & Lemonade and was selected as a support act for Illenium’s massive ‘Ascend’ Arena Tour in mid-late 2019 before kicking off 2020 with a 40+ date tour across North America as main support for Black Tiger Sex Machine.
Blanke showed no signs of slowing down throughout the lockdown. Official Remixes landed for Slander, Seven Lions and Zeds Dead & Subtronics & his single ‘Alchemy’ hit the #1 most played position on triple j Radio. In January this year he was named to EDM.com’s Class of 2021, and was one of the first acts to announce a post lockdown National tour in his native Australia. Returning to North America in July 2021, Blanke has just announced a string of dates including EDC Las Vegas, Lost Lands, Electric Zoo New York, Ophelia’s Pantheon Tour and main support for Sullivan King’s Loud and Reckless Tour.
