Rapidly rising Gold Coast singer-songwriter DOOLIE (Doolie Shadforth) shows no signs of slowing down with the release of ‘Only For A Night’, an emotive neo-soul song with a 2-step backbone, brought to life by renowned Sydney producer Moonbase (Anderson Paak, Ecca Vandal, Eyez, Miss Blanks, DVNA).

‘Only For A Night’ is about making that pivotal first impression, and the limited time you have to do so. DOOLIE elaborates, “It’s kind of like when you meet someone on a night out and you’ve got the night to decide if you like them or not and vice versa.” A punchy millennial lyricist, DOOLIE comments further on the songwriting process with Moonbase, “The chorus was actually the first thing I wrote. Moonbase showed me the track and it just came out, like a full on word vom,” explains DOOLIE of the effortless collaboration, “Moonbase is such an amazing producer and also just a super fun and genuine guy.”

Reciprocating the positive vibes, Moonbase knew he had to work with DOOLIE in some capacity since first hearing her voice via triple j Unearthed“She’s a creative powerhouse and super down-to-earth too, so ‘Only For A Night’ came together really effortlessly. The track hangs somewhere between the realms of energetic 2-step and soulful quietude – a perfect after-hours vibe,” as he accurately explains it.

It’s been a solid 12 months for DOOLIE who’s fronted a compelling catalogue of millennial love songs with dramatic edge. Her sharp yet playful lyrics have struck a chord with audiences both locally and internationally, delivering a fresh blend of mid-tempo pop/R&B with a tight collection of producers GXNXVS and Cam Nacson. Her impressive live performance has further established her presence, seeing her take the stage at festivals like Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival and Big Pineapple.

    • Elderbrook Releases New Single ‘Shallow Water’ elderbrook-2024-feature-oz-edm

Grammy-winning DJ and producer Elderbrook unveils his new single ‘Shallow Water’, setting the tone for his next LP with a typically emotive banger. Building around a poignant vocal and uplifting organs, ‘Shallow Water’ is a pulsating and life-affirming single. The single also coincides with an enchanting official video on release day, directed by Phúóng Vū with the creative direction of Charlie Rees. The director Phúóng Vū commented “In traditional Vietnamese folklore, the sky is represented by the shape of a circle, while the earth is a square. Developing upon this idea, we wanted the video to feature Vietnam’s most stunning and raw natural landscapes, in combination with holistic choreography to present the human element along with giant, abstract and surreal spheres and cubes that symbolize the earth and the sky.” It follows Elderbrook’s triumphant 2024 return in April with ‘Glad I Found You’, his collaboration with esteemed dance producer George FitzGerald. Speaking on the record “In ‘Shallow Water’, the cards are down, bottom reached and there is nowhere left to go. Our subject has to be better, do better. The song hinges on these bargaining chips, on the get out clauses we give ourselves when we want to change but know it will be hard. It grapples with questions of integrity and our desire to better ourselves against the knowledge that true and meaningful change is difficult and often messy. It’s the never ending self doubt given a voice.” Having toured his acclaimed sophomore album Little Love last year with sold-out shows across the US, UK, Canada and Europe, as well as playing a sold out headline show at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre this Spring, the singer-songwriter has a massive summer headline show coming up at New York’s Brooklyn Mirage on Friday June 14th. Following that, Elderbrook has various shows in Ibiza this summer and another packed festival season in store, with appearances at Festivals including the likes of Boardmasters in the UK, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits & Osheaga. Having toured with the likes of Jungle, Rufus Du Sol and Odesza, racked up over 2 billion streams to date, and made a 2023 Coachella starring appearance, Elderbrook continues to prove himself a frontrunner in the electronic scene. ‘Shallow Water’ continues his roaring 2024 with a top-tier club anthem teeming with heart and soul. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ6L_6a7RcQ

Australian breakout drum and bass producer Luude today announces the launch of his new imprint No Instruction in partnership with his long standing management company Cloak, distributed by Virgin Music. The new imprint is about creating legitimate moments for artists using the live platform and global network of the team. Luude shares “we want to throw good parties, put out records we like from people we like and we want to have a good crack at doing all those things as best and big as possible.”  To mark the debut, No Instruction presents its first release, ‘Fun In The Sun,’ by Luude & Perth based producer Harry Bee. The left field club heater has quickly become one of Luude’s most requested songs of the year, with videos of the record posted across ID pages amassing over 3 million views and generating widespread anticipation. The track perfectly encapsulates the essence of No Instruction, it’s a bit weird and made for the dancefloor. Sharing his excitement about the release and the launch of the label, Luude shares “I’m really happy to be launching this imprint with a collab featuring one of my best mates from Australia – having an outlet to do things like this is sick. We’ve got some mental records coming from some of my favourite producers,  some parties around the world, we’re doing vinyl and just going back to doing things for the club, which is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.” Cloak, the management team behind No Instruction, emphasises the label’s mission to embrace creativity and innovation, “people told us this was a stupid idea, launching a new imprint by releasing a collab with one of Luude’s mates from back home – with some pretty high-profile collaborations that could have been first. But being able to do things like this is what this label is about. The fact that it’s been one of the most requested tunes of the year for Luude is testament to the fact that buzzing records can come from anywhere.” In addition to its innovative approach to music, No Instruction will launch with a series of underground parties across the UK, Europe and Australia throughout 2024. The inaugural event, a secret pop up party at a very coveted London location, will kick off on July 31st, featuring performances by Luude, Bushbaby, Efan, Willo and Denham Audio. • Cercle Introduce 360° Concert Series with Immersive “Odyssey” Concept Cercle Introduce 360° Concert Series with Immersive "Odyssey" Concept - OZ EDM

Cercle Odyssey to Offer a No-Phone Experience for Deeper Audience Connection The esteemed Parisian production company and event organizer, Cercle, is set to unveil an innovative concert series under the title “Cercle Odyssey.” Imagine entering a vast concert arena where you are encircled by enormous screens. These screens, towering up to 40 feet high and stretching as far as 180 feet, envelop the audience with high-definition visuals that harmonize seamlessly with the music. This setup is designed to make attendees feel as though they are part of the performance, rather than mere spectators. To enhance audience engagement and foster genuine connections, Cercle Odyssey will implement a strict no-phone policy. This decision aligns with a growing movement within the electronic dance music community, where many prominent artists and organizations are advocating for increased presence and interaction during live events. Scheduled to debut in 2025, Cercle Odyssey aims to bring its unique, immersive experience to dance music enthusiasts worldwide. According to Billboard, this 360° spectacle promises to draw fans closer to the distinctive experiences that Cercle is known for offering. “My current obsession is to create the shortest connection between the music played by the artist, the video narrative that we will present live on the screens, and the audience’s emotions,” said Derek Barbolla, Founder of Cercle. “I want to connect these three things together at the deepest level and I believe this is still underdeveloped in the entertainment industry. If, by the end of a Cercle Odyssey show, I see people on the dance floor literally moved to tears, then I will consider it a success.” For more information about Cercle Odyssey, watch the video below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMoaFnrCQQA
