Since starting his career in the early nineties, Damon Jee has followed an unconventional path towards booming a globally renowned DJ.
His unique sound production became a guideline for the new Tech House generation, crossing over rumbling basslines, euphoric melodies and club elements. In the past 10 years, Damon Jee has released his music on well-known labels, such as Tora Tora Tora, Definitive Recordings, Playmate records and Pour la Vie Records. He has also collaborated with major artists such as John Acquaviva, Olivier Giacomotto, Ron Flatter, Rodriguez Jr and Douglas Greed to name a few. The last two years has seen a surge in his profile, no doubt due to the simplicity his productions display. His vast discography is home to numerous go-to weapons for many DJs, the sort of tracks that can ignite a flagging dancefloor.
Last year his remix of Pardon Moi‘s ‘Power To The People’ was considered by many DJs as one of that year’s biggest club tracks. But it was his recent Beatport-charting release on Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant records which introduced him to a whole new audience. Further online videos showing artists such as Maceo Plex and Carl Cox rinsing his tracks to thousands of people added to the mounting interest in Damon Jee. No doubt his upcoming debut Australian tour will be the first of many to come.
Damon Jee will hit Australian shores this Septmber with two special performances at Glamorama in Melbourne and Goodbar in Sydney.
