Highup Unveils New Single ‘I Need You’

Following his latest hit ‘Thinkin Bout U’, rising star Highup is back today with his brand new single which is the perfect soul warming track to add to your winter iso-chill mix.

‘I Need You’ out today via the world-renowned record label, Smash the House, founded by Belgian electronic music DJs and producers Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike and home to artists such as Bassjackers and twoloud.

The Gold Coast DJ and producer, also known as Mitch Woodward has been on a roll with his heavy bass tracks but his newest single is something a little more melodic and soulful.

“I Need You has a smooth rhythmic arrangement with romantically powerful lyrics and a soulful LA beach vibe,” said Mitch.
Mitch said the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled his jam-packed tour schedule and forced him back into the studio experimenting with instrumental sounds.

“For the last three months I have been in the studio working on this track, going back and forth with sounds and vocals and I am so pleased with how it all came together,” he said.

“I wanted to produce a song that people could listen to anywhere and everywhere from in the car to at home by the fire or at a Sunday sunset session and I think I Need You has nailed it.”

“I am so excited about the collaboration with Smash the House and I can’t wait for the track to be released and added to playlists around the world.” The 34-year-old is already working on new music and said even though he had big touring plans for 2020, he is embracing the downtime and using it pump out tracks.

“There is always a silver lining and even though I’m not preforming this year, I am still working hard behind the scenes, getting creative with my brand and of course always working on music.”

Earlier this year Mitch joined forces with fellow Gold Coast DJ duo, Bombs Away releasing a deep bass track, ‘Big Bad Doof’ which reached 11th on the Aria Club Charts, had more than 200k streams and over 2k video shares on Tik Tok.

‘I Need You’ can be purchased today through Beatport and Apple Music or can be streamed via Spotify here.
