Hobart Summer to host Australian dance music royalty Golden Features and Hermitude.
On Wednesday 29th December you can enjoy two of Australia’s premier electronic acts. Golden Features and Hermitude will perform on the Hobart Summer main stage.
Golden Features is one of the country’s premier electronic acts amassing over 120 million global streams, one platinum and four gold records to his name. Over the years, Tom Stell’s musical evolution has seen the producer push boundaries in aesthetic and sound, revealing more of himself to fans and slowly unmasking himself in the process. A festival and airwave staple, Golden Features has mixed for Diplo and Friends, Odesza and Flume and we’ve heard his tracks in the Hottest 100 numerous years. In 2019 Golden Features and The Presets collabed on the one-of-a-kind EP Raka. Meticulous and endlessly experimental, Golden Features will send you spinning into new frontiers of electronic music.
It’s difficult to find a duo that has defined Australian music as much as Hermitude. The duo consisting of El Gusto and Luke Dubs have been collaborating since they were teenagers in the 1990’s; their energy and creative forward thinking make it impossible to predict what they do next. Known for tracks such as ‘The Buzz’, ‘Northern Lights’ Hermitude will give you a night to remember.
Hobart Summer will be announcing more ticketed events to round out the nightly program in the coming weeks. During the days of Hobart Summer patrons can expect free arts and entertainment from music to comedy and theatre for the family and kids. As the night approaches you will notice the shift to cool jazz and worldly tunes while enjoying your favourite Tasmanian foods and beverages…. The Regatta Grounds will be transformed with a big top, outdoor furniture and tailored areas to suit everyone. Oh how we need a party….
