After much anticipation organisers have confirmed that the 5 day, 4 night destination event that is Dream Machine Whitsundays will proceed as planned later this month.
The holiday event, set across both yachts and Daydream Island in the beautiful Whitsundays at the heart of the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef, is the perfect opportunity for travel-starved patrons to explore a selection of magical tropical locations in the Whitsundays!
Each festival-goer’s ticket includes a carefully curated itinerary and all ferry transfers, as well as ample time for getting lost in the rainforest, strolling coral beaches, getting out on the water or relaxing poolside with a Margarita in hand. The possibilities are endless.
Queen of tropical dance CC:DISCO! is set to play on the beach at Paradise Cove, joined by long time Australian party favourites Sneaky Sound System, as well as global titans The Jungle Giants in DJ mode and Hayden James, and indie-pop sensation Owl Eyes. Also gracing the beach will be the industry-smashing Confidence Man in DJ mode, as well as recently added Late Nite Tuff Guy and Made in Paris. You’ll find bass lord Touch Sensitive playing pool-side at Daydream, with Client Liaison delivering a DJ set soon after. Also be in attendance Yolanda Be Cool and Shouse- Melbourne duo famous for their 2017 track ‘Love Tonight’ which recently went viral worldwide, marking it #18 on the Global Shazam’s Chart in 2021, with several other acts taking up residence in Lover’s Cove, the Rainforest stage, and ‘The Church’ stages.
With last year’s exclusive pre-sale offer attracting more than 10,000 subscriptions, tickets sold quickly – and the original release was exhausted within 30 minutes. Due to the WA hard border, a limited number of packages have now become available for any keen, last-minute holiday-goers.
In addition, in a nod to the locals, organisers have announced 50 x one-day tickets for the Thursday at Paradise Cove. Better be quick!
Tourism Whitsundays CEO Tash Wheeler said, “The Whitsundays really are a hub for events in Queensland as we see domestic and international travel finally come back in a big way in 2022. The immense interest in this event shows just how excited people are to get back to their music festivals and begin celebrating once again.”
“A great line up backdropped by a utopic, tropical location such as The Whitsundays is the perfect combination for a music event. We look forward to having Dream Machine right here in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef for their inaugural festival.”
Following months of lockdowns, and two years of restrictions on our usually music- and travel-filled lives, this idyllic tropical getaway is the perfect opportunity to dip your toes back into adventure in 2022.
Dream Machine Music Festival will take place from 26 – 30 January 2022. Final packages are available at https://dreammachinefestival.com/packages/
