Melbourne duo Kult Kyss today unveil their latest captivating single ‘Rituals’. Co-produced alongside Kim Moyes (The Presets, DMAs) and mixed by Anthony Garvin (Jagwar Ma, Last Dinosaurs), ‘Rituals’ radiates Kult Kyss’ signature sound that has made them ones-to-watch in the Australian music scene. Melding Haxx’s glistening production and pulsing beats with Rromarin’s unique vocal sound; Kult Kyss merge future pop with ritual noise, drawing listeners in to a rich and dynamic sonic realm.
Kult Kyss explain how ‘Rituals’ came together: “In creating Rituals we wanted to explore the concept of the divine in every day moments and experiences; in particular the timeless act of humans coming together to dance. The song is designed to convey the power of these modern-day rituals, blending organic synths, chanting vocals and syncopated drums. KIM and Anthony Garvin were huge assets to the track, bringing their own touch of magic to Rituals and helping crystallise our vision for the song.”
After capturing the attention of The Presets with their ode to ‘This Boy’s In Love’, Kult Kyss were invited to join the duo on their HI VIZ National Tour across nine dates in 2018. Kult Kyss then joined The Presets on the ABC TV show The Set, where they debuted their single ‘EKKO’ with a scene-stealing live performance.
Having showcased to great acclaim at BIGSOUND last year, Kult Kyss were subsequently signed by independent Australian label, Risqué, part of the TMRW Music Group.
Kult Kyss will be celebrating the release of ‘Rituals’ with their debut headlining performance in Melbourne on Saturday August 3rd at new CBD club, Radar.
With a string of singles under their belt including ‘Chi Cup’, ‘Water Baby’ and ‘EKKO’, Kult Kyss continue to carve out a unique space for themselves, further cementing their distinctive sound in the world of electronic pop. Stream the new single available on all platforms now here, or listen below!
