London Topaz returns again with his brand new single ‘Stay’ (ft. Blush’ko) via Daily Nightly Records.

‘Stay’ (ft. Blush’ko) is an ambient ethereal journey featuring the signature London Topaz artistic elegance with a stripped back introduction that then subtly builds around layers of vocals and synth and encapsulates the raw vocals of the unmistakable Blush’ko.

“The essence of the story is taking ownership for your own growth and development in a relationship, not relying on another’s energy to hold you up. Times can get hard when two individuals have a strong purpose although if a strong foundation of love and understanding is there you can push through any adversity.”Blush’ko

With a style reminiscent of top-tier electronic artists such as RÜFÜS DU SOL and Hayden James, his releases have caught the attention of dance music enthusiasts globally with well over a million Spotify streams and recent performances at Beyond the Valley and For The Love alongside RÜFÜS DU SOL.

Via his musicality, production values and delicate vocal construct, London Topaz manages to take electronic music fans through an emotive journey.

After emerging in 2017, London Topaz cemented his name as one of Australia’s top emerging talents with the soulful foundations of ‘Let You Go’ featuring JANEVA and ‘Midnight’ featuring Georgia van Etten, both attaining over half a million streams respectively. His next two singles ‘Your Eyes’ alongside Dena Amy and ‘Hideout’ featuring Leone Kingdom caught the attention of dance music enthusiasts globally and garnered worthy plays and airtime.

Developing his sonic brand and dance floor mood, the London Topaz profile raises its own bar, affirming a well-paved path for this promising, prolific artist.

    • Saudi’s Top Female DJ Cosmicat Releases Debut Vocal Underground Single “Toxic Romance” Cosmicat-toxic-romance-2021-oz-edm

Saudi Arabia’s first and leading female DJ and producer Cosmicat makes her stunning debut with the first-ever single “Toxic Romance,” introducing herself to the global market as a sultry underground queen with both dancefloor and emotive potential. The track uses big-room synths and a rumbling, techno-influenced bassline to contrast exquisitely with her own feathery vocals; in this way, Cosmicat creates a soundscape that is both bold and delicate, personifying her own identity as a female artist who is trailblazing the electronic music scene in a culture that has traditionally forbid women from making any style of music. “Toxic Romance” is only the beginning for Cosmicat, so stay tuned to see what’s next as she establishes herself among electronic’s most exciting rising artists. “When I was working on ‘Toxic Romance,’ all I had on my mind was that I wanted to create the sound I love. It got me romanticizing about my relationship with it, as it’s a human being; how it was there for me every time I needed it or how I always come around to seek and chase it. On the sonic level, I wanted to add a big-sounding synth to make the track sound bold and highlight how synthesizers and electronic music can coexist with gentle whispering and my own vocals. I believe this makes ‘Toxic Romance’ sounding delicate and personal, while still being dancefloor-friendly.” – Cosmicat As she rises from the underground, the world is ready to be introduced to Nouf Sufyani – better known as Cosmicat – as the first and leading Saudi female DJ & producer in the electronic scene. Born and raised in Jeddah, Cosmicat always had a strong passion for music in a world where it was considered taboo; there were limited record and music equipment stores and no live performances. Cultural protocol meant that she had to keep her passion a secret, so Cosmicat worked toward the more realistic 9-5 career but never gave up on her dream of producing. She became a “bedroom DJ” and taught herself everything she needed to know about producing in private. In 2019 she performed at the first music festival in Saudi Arabia – MDLBEAST’s Soundstorm (which was also the biggest in the Middle East). Her reach quickly expanded to Bahrain, Lebanon, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, where she performed, and now she’s gearing up for the release of her debut original single. I believe that Nouf is a perfect example showing that it’s important to be persistent and take the chance whenever it arises. Currently, there are more female DJs in Saudi Arabia who support and empower one another, with Cosmicat being the first/leading one, paving the way for other Saudi female DJs. She also hosts her own TV show. Privately she’s a cat lady (hence the artist’s name). Her personal favorites are Solomun, Peggy Gou, and Jamie Jones. Article image by Khaled Nadershah

    • Motez Releases Hypnotic Dance Track ‘Give Me Space’, Featuring The Kite String Tangle motez-give-me-space-oz-edm-2021-feature

Motez collaborates with The Kite String Tangle for an euphoric electronic record, ‘Give Me Space’, out now on Sweat It Out. Motez exhibits his vast musical knowledge by incorporating an array of genres and combining various styles of electronic music with classical elements. ‘Give Me Space’ makes clever use of house claps, classical piano arpeggios, and fast-paced dance and techno nuances. The release showcases The Kite String Tangle’s enticing vocals, while lyrically the song is about needing time in life to figure things out. Motez discusses why he wanted to work with The Kite String Tangle and the meaning behind the track, “I’ve been a big fan of The Kite String Tangle since his first release; I really connect with his music and his work ethic. ‘Give Me Space’ was the result of me wanting to mix his beautiful voice with my take on 80s inspired dance music, something that I have been listening to a lot lately. Think lots of chorus effects, lots of arpeggios and big, gated snares. Thematically, it’s a song about wanting space to figure out things in life. I felt like this was quite on point for me after our world was turned upside down over the last year. However, I was able to hone in on what I really want creatively and get back to what I truly loved about making music.” Cementing himself as a leading electronic producer in Australia, Motez has won over fans with his gold accredited record ‘The Future feat. Antony & Cleopatra’ as well as dance-floor favourite ‘Down Like This feat. Tkay Maidza’. While more recently, the Adelaide via Baghdad producer has released dynamic electronic records such as, ‘Where Have You Been’, and ‘Give Your Heart Away’ both of which scored support from triple j, Kiss FM (UK) and KCRW (US). In 2020, Motez also showcased a different side of his sound with the release of ‘Soulitude’, an EP created during isolation, designed to bring his fans a sense of serenity and tranquillity throughout the trying time. The EP took Motez to win best release, best music video and best electronic artist at the 2020 South Australian music awards. Outside of producing his own work, Motez has created official remixes for the likes of Goldlink, Disclosure and Ellie Goulding, earning him praise from dance icons such as Destructo, Justin Martin, Diplo and Flume. ‘Give Me Space feat. The Kite String Tangle’ is out now via Sweat It Out.

    • Kryder Unveils New Album Metaverse Volume 1 kryder-metaverse-feature-oz-edm

Kryder rode the bleeding edge into 2021, fusing VR, avatars, motion-capture and CGI to take us on a monthly trip into his ‘dance-anywhere’ Metaverse. Alongside digital concept house Conduit XR, he flipped the script on lockdown, brought the show to the audience and delivered a reality-rivalling experience. As it starts its second season (and in step with the release of his single-latest ‘Pleasure Or Pain’), the English DJ/producer levels up again, adding a new dimension to the Metaverse. Mirroring the shows’ punchy ‘no fillers’ festival ethic, today Kryder presents Volume 1 of his ‘Metaverse’ mixcomp. Each Metaverse is defined not by a genre, but by Kryder’s criteria, and amongst its most vital is sonic exclusivity. Every offering – be it show or mixcomp – is comprised of music solely available to Kryder, who draws it from his Sosumi, Cartel & Kryteria label-wellspring. Through this new audio font (featuring the likes of Eddie Thoneick, Leykenda, Jora Ft. Reptile Room, Crusy, Lohrasp and Clubwire), Kryder once again bucks classification. Skating in, out and through galvanised house & progressive thrust, its music regularly backflips into tech, whilst flirting furiously with trance and a half-dozen other sub-styles. In addition to ‘Pleasure Or Pain’, the album also brings first contact with two more Kryder creations, as ‘You & I’ – his pumping DEADLINE collab tag-team with the more broodsome, but no less floor-centric ‘Crashing Down’ (w/Asymptone). If Kryder’s music does have one defining feature, its hookiness, and ‘Metaverse Volume 1’ is all about that, bringing brain-dilating catchiness end-to-end. One listen and you can kiss the rest of your musical week goodbye, ‘Volume 1’ of Kryder Presents Metaverse (https://blackhole.complete.me/metaverse ) is out now – get your first listen below! Kryder Presents Metaverse Volume 1 tracklist: 01. Kryder & DEADLINE – You & I 02. Kryder & Asymptone – Crashing Down 03. Kryder & Mark Roma – Pleasure Or Pain 04. JORA featuring Reptile Room – Speak For Yourself 05. Choujaa – I Feel Like 06  Leykenda – Anxiety 07. Crusy vs Döts – All I Need 08. Rush & Hydro – Alterate 09. Lohrasp Kansara – I Can’t Tell You 10. SQU4RE – ISO 11. Lanchi – Reaction 12. Clubwire – There For You 13. Foxtrot featuring Katie Sky – Run Back 14. Incognet – Like We Used To 15. Eddie Thoneick featuring James Walsh – Into The Sunrise 16. Stevie Krash, Kremerk & Versus featuring Nino Lucarelli – Breakthrough

It’s definitely one of the most banging tracks on the record—we referenced some of our favorite club music for the drum programming and had fun envisioning the time when we could finally play this live. It had an amazing reaction at our Red Rocks shows last month which was really special for us.” – RÜFÜS DU SOL Arriving via the Aussie trio’s own Rose Avenue Records, as well as Reprise/Warner Records, “On My Knees” finds RÜFÜS DU SOL leaning into the darker sounds that have so frequently conferred a contemplative character to their back catalog, from the song’s lyrical narrative to its technical framework. It’s “definitely one of the most banging tracks” on the forthcoming record, according to James Hunt. • Kult Kyss’ Release Euphoric New Single ‘So Alive’ kult-kyss-so-alive-oz-edm-feature

Melbourne electronic duo Kult Kyss are back with a captivating new track, ‘So Alive’, produced alongside acclaimed Australian producer LUCIANBLOMKAMP. Created in the depths of lockdown, vocalist Rromarin and producer Haxx have conjured pure magic with ‘So Alive’, creating a hypnotic track that yearns to uplift the spirits of everyone it comes across. ‘So Alive’ is lifted from Kult Kyss’ upcoming debut EP Ultra Sound, set for release in November and also featuring collaborations with the likes of BRUX and Motez.  Kult Kyss explains, “‘So Alive’ was born in the midst of the pandemic, at a time when things felt incredibly limited and uncertain. The experience of being in lockdown forced us to shift our perspectives from constantly looking towards the future to living fully in the present. ‘So Alive’ is inspired by this, and explores the magic and beauty that can be found in living in the moment, day by day. In creating the track we wanted to pay homage to early ‘90s dance music, incorporating dusty sampled breaks with euphoric synths and a simple, mantra-like vocal hook. We were also fortunate enough to work with our friend LUCIANBLOMKAMP (who has produced for Khalid & US-rapper 6LACK) on additional production, who brought his signature gritty 2-step sound to the track.” ‘So Alive’ is an extension of the Kult Kyss sound that we’ve come to know and love over the last few years. The pair’s recent releases ‘Kill That Beat’ and ‘God Is A Bassline’ saw high rotation on triple j Unearthed, earning support from Spotify with editorial placements in New Music Friday, New Dance Beats and Top Shelf Electronic. This past year, Kult Kyss also had the opportunity to invite fans into their universe while supporting Running Touch at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, performing live at Meadow Music Festival and joining Motez on triple j’s Mix Up. Kult Kyss know how to elicit feelings within their audience, and ‘So Alive’ is no different.

    • PNAU Team Up With Budjerah For Uplifting New Track ‘Stranger Love’ pnau-budjerah-oz-edm-feature

Having reunited with Ladyhawke for their recent single ‘River’, acclaimed dance music trio PNAU now team up with Australian singer-songwriter prodigy Budjerah for their new single ‘Stranger Love’. A powerful and uplifting house track based on the French novella The Little Prince, ‘Stranger Love’ brings together Budjerah’s soulful voice with the dancefloor sensibilities that PNAU have become renowned for over their stellar career. Recorded in Byron Bay in early 2021, ‘Stranger Love’ magically marries the best of both artists into an interstellar banger. PNAU’s Nick Littlemore describes the experience of working with breakthrough artist Budjerah: “Meeting a young, spirited artist like Budjerah is beautiful and challenging. To encounter someone so young who already has a great handle on creativity and kindness confronts one’s own insecurities. He comes across as a natural; not something one sees a lot of in this business. Whilst we come from vastly different experiences, the supernatural power of music brought us together. We wrote from the perspective of psychedelic adventuring, and wistfully met somewhere in the middle. What came together was a true PNAU happening – an interstellar banger to be enjoyed by the trippy dreamer in all of us.” Budjerah adds, “Joel Quartermain [from ARIA and APRA Award winning band Eskimo Joe] and I originally wrote Stranger Love as an acoustic ballad. The song was written based on the book The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and describes the relationship between the young boy (the little Prince) and a rose that lands on his home planet. The boy cares for her, he gives her his love and attention, but the rose doesn’t really appreciate the boy, so he leaves the planet. It was really fun to make the track with PNAU. I recorded the vocals with Nick Littlemore when we met in Byron in February of 2021. The performance element of a dance record is quite different to what I’m used to, but it was really fun. It sounds really great.” PNAU is the multi-platinum-selling, ARIA award-winning electronic act of Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun, Vlossom, Teenager), Peter Mayes and Sam Littlemore, famed for their extensive career born out of the underground clubs and festival dancefloors of Australia. PNAU also hold the acclaimed title of giving Elton John his first UK No.1 album in 22 years when they collaborated with the legendary Rocketman on the 2012 album ‘Good Morning To The Night’. Rumour has it PNAU are currently working with Elton John once again… With a catalogue of their own hits and multiple albums behind them, PNAU have enjoyed a powerful renaissance over the past few years, with multi-platinum hits ‘Go Bang’ and ‘Chameleon’ becoming inescapable on the airwaves in their home country of Australia and climbing the Billboard Dance charts in the U.S. 2019 singles ‘Solid Gold’ and ‘All Of Us’, embedded PNAU as the most cutting edge electronic act to watch on a global scale, finding a loyal fan base amongst the most influential decision makers at BBC Radio 1, triple j and streaming services across the globe. In late 2020 PNAU reunited with New Zealand’s Ladyhawke for ‘River’, which harked back to their classic track and fan-favourite, ‘Embrace’. Last year Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes also launched their own label, Lab78, delivering a brand new project in the form of breakthrough indie act Vlossom (who also collaborated with PNAU on their single ‘Lucky’), with subsequent signings Ivy Rose out of Houston and the Tasmanian duo Sumner, who recently hit the top 5 of the Spotify Viral chart in Australia. For Budjerah Slabb, making music was an inevitability. Raised in a home full of instruments and playing in family bands, the 19-year-old savant has crafted a sound that melds the formative elements of gospel and soul, with contemporary pop and R’n’B references. Budjerah found kinship with ARIA and J Award-winning artist Matt Corby, who produced his 2021 debut self-titled EP. Corby’s studio is located close to Budjerah’s home in Fingal Head – traditionally the land of Bundjalung people, from which Budjerah is descended – and the two clocked countless hours comparing notes and crafting the sound that would introduce the world to what Budjerah can do. Armed with his runaway hit single ‘Higher,’ Budjerah recently took the stage for a breathtaking performance at Music From The Home front, alongside special guest appearances for Jack River, Lime Cordiale and Thelma Plum.  He will also support The Avalanches in Sydney this weekend and is touring nationally now. PNAU now take Budjerah’s incredible voice to new heights, with ‘Stranger Love’ delivering a powerful and passionate message, whilst also calling fans to the dancefloor in signature PNAU fashion. Get PNAU ‘Stranger Love’ featuring Budjerah out now!
