Following the release of his second studio album ‘Lucky Ones’, which reached #1 on iTunes Dance, San-Francisco based DJ and Producer Luttrell makes a swift return to Anjunadeep with his new club cut ‘Twin Souls’.
Leading with carefully crafted synths and an echoing vocal sample, Luttrell demonstrates his ability to create catchy melodic techno that has previously gained him support from the likes of Pete Tong, Gorgon City, Maceo Plex, and more.
“During the beginning of quarantine, I really wanted to write a pretty, feelsy, trance-ey dance song. On ‘Twin Souls’ I started the writing process with a lot of experimentation, using the same arpeggio pattern with different synth patches to create a sound and a tone that was new for my project. Also, when I found the vocal sample, I really liked how its complicated, romantic qualities seemed to blend the perfect mix of love, yearning, and uncertainty to give the song a truly emotional foundation.” – Luttrell, October 2020
The new single follows a string of hits this year from the rising star including ‘What Do You Feel?,’ ‘Universal Theory’ and his remix of Duke Dumont‘s hit ‘Together.’
