With the summer festival season just around the corner, next January will play host to a brand new music festival heading to New Zealand shores.
With cancellations from some of the biggest festivals in recent years, including Big Day Out and Future Music Festival; a new festival could deliver some great news for Australian music lovers.
The McLaren Falls Music & Arts Festival will make its debut next January, expected to draw over 10,000 punters to New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty. Set to take place from January 12-12, 2016, it’s predicted the festival could share acts with some of Australia’s NYE festivals.
The McLaren Falls Music & Arts Festival director Paxton Talbot, told the NZ Herald that festival will “bring a taste of Glastonbury and Coachella to the Pacific in both the style of the lineup and the approach to the festival site.”
Stay tuned for an announcement on the lineup, expected to drop mid August.
