After complete global domination with sold out headline tours, three platinum albums ‘Hold Your Colour’, ‘In Silico’, and ‘Immersion’, and huge fan-loved singles including ‘Propane Nightmares’, ‘Watercolour’, ‘Witchcraft’, ‘The Island’ and more, Pendulum are back to reignite the spark with their brand new musican incredible new show production, and the announcement of even more music to come

Rob Swire said: “We’ve been working on some new tracks for a while now and it’s great to finally get them out. We’d been playing exclusive previews of some of the new music at shows in Australia and New Zealand before lockdown, and we’ve been making tweaks along the way to make sure they’re right.”

While summer events are on hold this year, Pendulum have still managed to retain their headliner status across the globe, topping the bill at the prestigious SW4 festival in London in 2019, as well as Ultra Japan and New Zealand’s Electric Avenue with the awe inspiring new Trinity production.

Rob said “Trinity just seemed like the perfect touring model for us right now, it gives us the freedom to test out our new music on the road like we did in the early days, whilst still being able to headline the biggest events and bring a huge, bespoke new show to our audiences.”

The launch of the new Trinity production sees the 3 original founding members of Pendulum – Rob Swire (Anscenic), Gareth McGrillen (Speed) and Paul Harding (El Hornet), joining forces for the first time in over a decade. Pendulum Trinity have also been announced as festival headliners at some of the biggest events across the globe including, We Are FSTVL, Ultra Europe, Boomtown, Creamfields, EDC Vegas, Let It Roll, Lowlands and even more for 2021.

‘Nothing For Free’ was teased across underplay events at the beginning of the year, including intimate club shows in Sydney and their home town of Perth as well as a live vocal performance by Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Paul ‘El Hornet’ Harding during the Rampage takeover Pendulum hosted in March. While eager fans will recognise ‘Driver’ as the massive intro track to Pendulum’s new Trinity show, launched at London’s biggest dance festival SW4 last year.

Word of the new music continued to spread after a brand new website with a rotating countdown emerged, filling in layer by layer, eventually revealing itself as the artwork for the release. The artwork, designed by Rob Swire also doubles up as a phenakistoscope, an animated design which turns the static images into moving pictures when played on a 45rpm record player and viewed through a phone camera at 25fps.

With fans counting down the days until release, a brand new era for Pendulum has officially begun. make sure to look out for ‘Nothing For Free’ and ‘Driver’ dropping this week.

    • LUUDE Releases Drum & Bass Remix of ‘Down Under’! luude-oz-edm-2021-feature

After an outpouring of online support, Australian producer LUUDE officially releases his iconic drum & bass rework of the cultural anthem ‘Down Under (feat. Colin Hay)’! After a year that has seen LUUDE refine his production style, delving into the extravagant world of drum & bass, LUUDE put his talents to work on delivering a festival-ready remix of the quintessential Australian record ‘Down Under’. LUUDE presents a whole new dynamic to the 1980 anthem, which went to #1 in Australia, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. Utilising the incredible flute skills of Sydney multi-instrumentalist Little Green, LUUDE blesses the record with drum & bass elixir to make it relevant for a warehouse rave, festival stage, or bass haven. Initially uploaded to his socials after playing around in the studio, the subsequent response was immense with a clamouring of support to have the release available to punters online. In catching word of the influx of love for the rework, Colin Hay gave his blessing for the track to be remixed and expressed his desire to be involved in the remake. On officially releasing the rework LUUDE said, “When I made this remix for a bit of fun, I never expected it to catch on like it did across the internet. To now be officially releasing it with Colin Hay is just mental – the whole thing has moved so fast, can’t wait for it to be out there.” On being involved with the rework, Colin said, “‘Down Under’ is a song that’s close to my heart, and it’s been extraordinary to see it stand the test of time. When I heard LUUDE’s remix, I immediately loved it and thought I could jump in and update the vocal. I can’t wait for a new audience of fans to hear and feel the iconic spin LUUDE has put on the song. A song which is ultimately about celebrating the immense and amazing land we have all been lucky enough to experience growing up.” LUUDE (Christian Benson) has had an impressive career to date, established as a name capable of providing the dancefloor heat and garnering over 30 million streams across his catalogue on tracks such as ‘Right Now’, ‘Sink or Swim’, and ‘Paradise’. • LUUDE Releases Highly Anticipated 6AM EP luude-6am-ep-oz-edm-feature

Australian producer LUUDE delivers an emotive dance release for his new EP, ‘6AM’! Already this year, LUUDE announced his signing to Sweat It Out and released two festival-ready anthems on his double A-Side ‘Luudoskins’. Today he releases a five-track EP which features the two previously released singles from ‘Luudoskins’ ‘Arms’ and ‘Butters’ as well as showcasing his production versatility with three new singles, soundtracking a vibrant and eventful, dance-filled night out. The release opens with ‘Wanna Stay’ which sees LUUDE utilise the soulful vocals of Perth indie-rock outfit Dear Sunday and blend in his signature drum and bass touch to create a fast-paced energetic anthem! Next is ‘Glenorchy’, mixing heavy and dark synth with warehouse inspired techno sounds, which are contrasted against a lighter, high pitch vocal. Following on is the already released ‘Arms’ and ‘Butters’ which see LUUDE fuse his forward-thinking electronic production with energetic breakbeats, and heavy bass drops. Finishing off the body of work ‘Bridgewater’, a vibrant single that is built around a commanding vocal, followed by an emotive synth melody, emulating the feeling of being at a festival in the early hours of the morning. LUUDE discusses his inspiration behind the release, “I wanted it to be a record that can be listened to through the stages of a day and night. I was writing most of it through lockdowns so I was just writing tunes that felt like being out. ‘Wanna Stay’ just has a loose fun energy about it – feels like a bunch of mates getting rowdy in the pub – which is how most nights in Australia start, ‘Butters’ and ‘Arms’ get a bit more late night club focused, which is generally where most nights lead – then ‘Bridgewater’ and ‘Glenorchy’ are those emotional kick on tunes for when you’re feeling it at 6AM – so it’s all stages of the night.” LUUDE is also recognised as one half of the well-respected Australian duo, Choomba, who have been endorsed by tastemakers such as The Magician, Claude Von Stroke, Richie Hawtin, Claptone, and Riva Starr. Most recently the production powerhouse released ‘Say It feat. LP Giobbi & Blush’ko’, which had the heavy support of triple j and dance music icons, Martin Jensen and Benny Benassi! Under his solo project, LUUDE aka Christian Benson has had an impressive career to date, he has scored over 30 million streams across his catalogue. Moreover, his singles have also caught the attention of tastemaker outlets Stoney Roads, Pilerats, DJ Times and This Song Is Sick. On the touring side, The Tasmanian born, Perth Raised, Gold-Coast based artist quickly took hold of the local club circuit, becoming an in-demand name across Australia. From there, the local talent sold-out shows around Australia and New Zealand as well as festival appearances at Listen Out, Field Day, This/That and the forthcoming Wildlands festival!
