Seven Lions and Blastoyz reunite for their second collab “Reason For Fighting”. Since its live debut in 2020, the track has become one of the most highly anticipated releases on the label and follows their latest collab “After Dark” off Seven Lions’ Start Again EP. Featuring three powerful drops, “Reason For Fighting” weaves through psytrance and melodic bass to blur the lines between a mainstage anthem and underground heavy-hitter with triumphant vocals from ERV ELLO. From Ultra Music Festival to EDC Mexico, the track has marked showstopping moments at festivals around the country over the past few months. Most recently, Seven Lions and Blastoyz reunited on Beyond Wonderland’s mainstage to showcase the track one last time before its release. Washington-based producer Seven Lions has never had an issue pushing the boundaries of electronic music to fulfill his creative vision. Catching a break after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep-focused version of Above & Beyond’s “You Got To Go”, Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, garnered support from the likes of Anjunabeats, Casablanca, OWSLA, Viper Recordings, Republic Records, and Monstercat over the past ten years. After releasing on a plethora of labels, Seven Lions founded Ophelia Records in 2018 which has since become a leading independent label in the melodic bass subgenre. Abraxis, Seven Lions’ psytrance alter alias with the duo Dimibo, is releasing their first single in over a year and their fourth ever release with the single “Black Rainbow”. The track is a fan favorite, known for its cryptic dialogue and multiple high energy, show-stopping drops. “Black Rainbow” releases the day before the third installment of Seven Lions’ festival Chronicles at the Gorge Amphitheatre, where they’ll be playing a special costumed set with new show visuals to over 10,000 fans in attendance. Abraxis is a conceptual psytrance project formed by melodic bass powerhouse Seven Lions (Jeff Montalvo) and Washington based psytrance duo Dimibo (Filip Pankovcin & Loch Stimpson). They first worked together in 2017 on their remix of Excision’s dubstep hit The Paradox, and over the next two years they performed numerous back to back sets at festivals and clubs across the country. In mid 2019 the trio announced they would officially be combining forces with the creation of Abraxis, the project set to debut at Insomniac’s Dreamstate festival that November. Abraxis has released three singles so far; Old Gods, Night Rider, and Half of It. While their sound is firmly rooted in psytrance, the three producers incorporate a wide range of production techniques and musical genres, giving their music a unique hybrid feel. The next chapter of Abraxis has arrived with the release of the production powerhouse’s “Night Rider” on Seven Lions’ Ophelia imprint. “Night Rider” marks the very first release on Ophelia from Abraxis, the newly formed alias by Seven Lions combined with psytrance duo Dimibo, and the group’s second ever release. Combining influences of psy, midtempo and melodic dubstep, the powerhouse trio adds an entirely original spin on psytrance with three completely different drops each spanning unique genres on this behemoth of a track. Abraxis’ set was one of the highlights of Dreamstate SoCal 2019, with a festival closing set to a fully packed tent on the second night. EDC Las Vegas to Expand to Two Weekends in 2027 for the First Time in Its History. In a landmark move for one of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals, Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella has confirmed that EDC Las Vegas will expand to two weekends in 2027, marking a major evolution in the event’s 30-year history. The announcement comes just days after the 2026 edition wrapped at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where more than half a million fans gathered to celebrate the festival’s milestone anniversary. Known for its immersive production, large-scale stage design and round-the-clock atmosphere, EDC once again delivered its signature experience under the electric sky. Looking ahead, the 2027 edition will take place across two consecutive weekends: May 14–16, 2027 (DUSK) May 21–23, 2027 (DAWN) In addition to the festival itself, Insomniac is introducing an extended “Dusk Till Dawn Experience”, spanning 12 days from May 13 to May 24, 2027. This expanded format will place even greater emphasis on EDC Week, with additional programming planned throughout the gap between weekends. Further details are expected to be announced in the coming months. A key change for 2027 will be a reduced capacity per weekend, a move designed to improve crowd flow and enhance the overall attendee experience. Despite the split format, both weekends will feature the same lineup, ensuring fans receive a consistent offering regardless of which dates they attend. Accommodation options including Camp EDC and Hotel EDC will also operate across both weekends, giving attendees greater flexibility when planning their stay. In a notable shift, organisers have also confirmed more accessible ticket pricing. General admission passes will start at $399 USD per weekend, while fans looking to attend both weekends can purchase a combined Dusk & Dawn pass for $599 USD. Speaking on the announcement, Rotella shared his vision for the festival’s future: “I hope you can feel the excitement and see the vision for what Dusk Till Dawn will become. I can’t wait to share this experience with you under the electric sky.” While many major global festivals such as Tomorrowland, Coachella and Ultra Music Festival have adopted multi-weekend formats over the years, EDC Las Vegas has remained a single-weekend event throughout its three-decade run. This shift signals a significant new chapter for the brand as it continues to grow its global footprint. Italian electronic music visionary Anyma has announced an ambitious new global tour titled “ÆDEN,” set to roll out across 12 countries following the debut of his next-generation live show at Coachella this April. The melodic techno pioneer will headline the iconic festival on April 10 and 17, where audiences will witness the premiere of an entirely new audiovisual production; one described as his most advanced live concept to date. The Coachella performances will serve as the official launchpad for the wider ÆDEN World Tour. Building on Anyma’s reputation for cinematic storytelling and technological innovation, “ÆDEN” is said to fuse science fiction futurism with ancient mythological symbolism, continuing the thematic world-building that has defined his recent work. His live shows have become synonymous with immersive visuals, AI-driven design, and large-scale digital art installations that blur the line between concert and visual theatre. The announcement follows a landmark year for the artist.
