Seven Lions and Jason Ross reunite on their second collaborative EP ‘See You Again’.
The EP acts as the spiritual successor to the hugely successful ‘Ocean’ EP from 2018, which also consisted of an emotive vocal melodic dubstep lead single with a trancier B-side. Frequent collaborator and fan-favorite singer Fiora brings her enchanting voice and melodies once again to Seven Lions and Jason Ross‘ masterful melodic bass production on “See You Again” while the peak time, festival-ready track “Orpheus” sees a release after years of being teased at festivals.
Producer Seven Lions has never had a problem breaking rules and transcending musical boundaries to satisfy his creative vision. Catching his break after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep-focused version of Above & Beyond’s “You Got to Go”, Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, garnered support from the likes of Anjunabeats, Casablanca Records, OWSLA, Viper Recordings, Republic Records, and Monstercat over the past eight years. After years of floating around from labels, Seven Lions compiled his own label in 2018 called Ophelia Records. Since its emergence, the melodic bass label has made its imprint being voted the Best Label of 2019 by r/edm, releasing multiple #1 iTunes Dance albums and hosting festival stage takeovers across the country. His productions have seen stages at world-renowned festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival (New York and Las Vegas), Electric Forest, Electric Zoo, South by Southwest, and HARD.
Jason Ross‘ footprint as a diversified electronic music artist continues to grow deeper. He’s produced with Seven Lions on their anthems ‘Higher Love’ and ‘Ocean,’ collaborated with Above & Beyond on remixes, and played some of the world’s most renowned venues like Red Rocks, The Gorge and The Hollywood Palladium. His tracks have received support from prominent producers including Armin Van Buuren, Slander, Kaskade, Avicii and many more. Continuing on an active 2020 that saw Jason release an album, as well as multiple livestream projects, 2021 has been no less busy. Jason released a 4 track EP in May titled Convergence, featuring the standout singles “One More Day” with Blanke and Chandler Leighton, and “Wild Ones” with Nevve. In 2020 he released his debut artist album, 1000 Faces, that features prominent bass music collaborators such as Seven Lions and Dabin, and vocal collaborators and writers like Melanie Fontana, RUNN, and Dia Frampton. To date, the record has amassed over 16 million streams on Spotify. Jason also hosted his own weekly Twitch mix show in partnership with the biggest music channel on the platform – Insomniac.
