Nine years ago Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso came to ‘Save The World’ as the Swedish House Mafia. The iconic dance hit ‘Save The World’ ironically, helped to save revive music and bring the electronic dance music scene into the maintstream spotlight.
Alongside acts like David Guetta, Avicii, Benny Benassi and Calvin Harris, the Swedes were responsible for catapulting electronic music (or ‘EDM’ as it was soon coined), from underground clubs and those in the know, to the airwaves of major radio stations all across the world.
An exponential growth in listeners found their gateway into the dance music scene thanks to the work of Swedish House Mafia, and ‘Save The World’ became one of the most popular tracks of all time; with vocalist John Martin returning a year later on their collaboration ‘Don’t You Worry Child’.
