• Kevin Silvester releases new single ‘Be The One’

  Kevin Silvester and JVCQUI Come Together For Their Huge Pop Release ‘Be The One’. Melbourne-based dance-pop artist Kevin Silvester returns with a new heart-wrenching single ‘Be The One’. The fourth single from Silvester’s upcoming debut album “Sleepwalker” is a collaboration with fellow Melbourne-based Pop and R&B singer/songwriter JVCQUI. The song is accompanied by a laceratingly emotional music video that tells the story of a toxic relationship through dramatic neon-metropolitan visuals. This song integrates multiple genres to express the core emotions of hatred and longing. Silvester enchants and lures you into a forest of melodies, only to cast you into an electric confrontation of vocals matched with a punchy bass line and a triplet-swing drum beat. The ethereal vocal performance by JVCQUI displays her longing and highlights the back and forth between Silvester and herself, painting the picture of a couple fighting, leaving listeners with empathy for JVCQUI as she pleads for validation. In July 2021, the song was born from a conversation between the two: they became friends after chatting about kinks at a local RSL. Written right before Melbourne’s lockdown, the finishing touches were completed over a phone call. Listeners are treated to an explosive chorus of gang vocals by the pair imitating signature celebrity voices – Britney Spears, Olivia Rodrigo and Momo from TWICE.

• Flight Facilities release two-track EP, Lost Forever

  Today, iconic Sydney duo Flight Facilities return to share a two-track EP, Lost Forever available now via Future Classic. As a pseudo-epilogue to their sophomore album FOREVER, both tracks represent the duo’s journey 12 months since its release. Having eclipsed the nation with their headline tour, alongside executing their own mammoth festival juggernaut, Airfields, that saw some of the brightest local and international acts perform to an open-air crowd, Hugo Gruzman and Jimmy Lyell now reveal and celebrate some of their favourite unreleased moments from the FOREVER era. First debuted during the duo’s pre-album NEVER FOREVER livestream, “Feel It” is a historic house heater starring a ceremonious arrangement of Flight Facilities synths that are warm, airy and arresting in unity. The coolly transposed beat and sampled vocals direct a clubbier mood before Owl Eyes delivers a melody of haunting beauty. The accompanying visualiser from Babekuhl pastiches a transfixing array of grainy 70s film footage of a child and his family. Flight Facilities fans will recognise that second track, “Planet Claire” has become a mainstay in the duo’s dynamic live shows. A dedication to an electronic great in their eyes, Booka Shade, the journeyed song is punctuated by evolving jabs of modular synths and analog rhythms. Layered with delicate and infectious complexity, the track receives a fitting visualiser from Babekuhl. Laced with neon green FF logos, a fast-moving rotation of shapes in kaleidoscopic form becomes hypnotic. Flight Facilities say on Lost Forever: “It’s already been 12 months since we released our last album. Several tracks were left on the cutting room floor of FOREVER, but it felt wrong to leave them unreleased. ‘Planet Claire’ has formed an integral part of our live show in the past 6-12 months, and it’s our little homage to a favourite artist, Booka Shade. ‘Feel It’ was one of the first demo’s we wrote after Down To Earth. We’ve sat on it for years, constantly updating and picking at it, eventually adding vocals from Owl Eyes. There’s a certain magic in this tune that captures the nostalgia of us messing around in the studio together.” Flight Facilities’ second studio album, FOREVER is the culminating result of many years of experimentation between the Sydney pair. • Elderbrook Drops Single From Forthcoming Album + Announces 2023 Tour Dates

  Grammy Award winning musician Elderbrook has today unveiled details of his forthcoming album “Little Love”, as well as sharing his new single “Beautiful Morning”. Combining flickering synths, poignant breakdowns and powerful lyrics that capture the feeling of love in its purest form, “Beautiful Morning” evokes the kind of awe-inspiring sunsets that the track title alludes to. It follows on from “Howl”, a euphoric recent single in collaboration with fellow Grammy winner Tourist.
