After much anticipation, VANFEST organisers, Grant and Matt Clifton, have announced that the regional music festival will be returning to Forbes for its third consecutive year, this coming November, 2016.
Once again VANFEST’s line-up will not disappoint, with multi ARIA award winning and three times platinum selling Australian brother-sister folk and indie pop group Angus and Julia Stone headlining this year’s event. Joining them on the line-up will be alternative rock band, The Rubens; singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and platinum selling artist Xavier Rudd; the ARIA nominated, songwriting prodigy DRAPHT; progressive rock bandDead Letter Circus; electro-house and dance music favourites, The Potbelleez (LIVE); the captivating vocals and lush, sultry electronica of Vera Blue; DJ Tigerlily, one of the hottest commodities on the Australian dance music scene; eclectic indie singer and songwriter Hein Cooper; award winning hip-hop artist Urthboy; Australia’s #1 DJ duo Mashd n Kutcher and E^ST, bringing her sparkling confidence and irresistible tunes to the stage.
The two-day festival is a brainchild created by the father and son team, Grant and Matt Clifton. Growing up in Tullamore NSW, Matt enlisted the help of his father, who is a Forbes local and owns The Vandenberg Hotel, after realising the region’s need for quality entertainment. ThroughVANFEST, they together bring high profile international and local acts to Central West NSW. Their combined efforts have been a success as they have continued to grow the festival since it began in 2014, with headliners consisting of Rudimental, John Butler Trio, Peking Duk, Chet Faker and MattCorby.
“It really is such a credit to the local community and region for the huge support they have given over the past couple of years. We would not be here without their ongoing involvement. VANFEST will continue to build, and bring the Central West an event they can be proud to call their own,” saysMatt Clifton.
Not only does VANFEST boast a stellar line-up of music and entertainment, but it also offers plenty of alternate activities to keep busy, including a water park, carnival rides, a NSW wine tasting corridor, team sport installations, market stalls, extreme sponsor activations and more. Taking place over two days, a multitude of camping and glamping facilities will also be available, including communal common areas, luxury amenity installations, games room, live entertainment for campers and more.
VANFEST is held at Forbes Showgrounds with ticket, transport and camping packages available.
