Australian born, now LA based singer-songwriter Bella Hunter has released her highly anticipated house hit ‘Deja Vu’ on Armada recordings.
Hunter wrote and co-produced ‘Déjà vu’ in New York, where upon completion, entered into negotiation with world renowned Record Label: Armada Music (with Headquarters in Amsterdam and New York). After the viral success of her track ‘Waves’ (co-written with legendary U.S DJ / Producer Erick Morillo, which reached Top 5 on Sirius XM BPM and is also released through Armada Music), the label was captivated by Bella’s charisma, songwriting ability and her authentic female take on electronic music, inking her to a deal earlier this year. To her credit, Bella is the first female Artist Armada has signed in the USA, she is also the second ever female Artist to sign with the powerhouse label.
Fresh from her European promo tour, Bella’s effervescent warmth and chilled alluring vocals, had crowds singing along with her from St Tropez to Ibiza. Next stop is Sydney and Bella is overwhelmed with excitement to be imminently visiting Australia again and to celebrate the release of ‘Deja Vu’ in her homeland. Bella is the daughter of the late rock legend Marc Hunter of Dragon fame. Bella’s brother Jackson Hunter is also a well-known Australian DJ. Both siblings are immersed in the music world and will be performing together whilst Bella visits Sydney.
Bella Hunter has been busy creating her niche in the heavily male-dominated electronic music world. Most recently, Bella has worked across multiple projects, writing with various artists including: Erick Morillo (they have more collaborations in the near future), Chris Malinchak, Henry Krinkle, KVR, Sweater Beats, Linda Perry and Afrojack to name a few.
The music video for ‘Deja Vu’ was filmed partly in the heat of Los Angeles and partly in the arid heat of the barren Californian desert. The footage has a rawness to it, showcasing Bella’s natural energy on camera, intermittently splashed with clever flashbacks of LA party glamour (featuring Bella’s real-life Model / Actor girlfriends) throughout to create the authentic ‘déjà vu’ feeling she wrote about. Bella’s style, wit and commanding stage presence – in front of an audience and in person – are paving the way for ‘Deja Vu’ to become a hit just in time for the Australian Summer.
