One of the most promising signs for a burgeoning artist is receiving an invitation to craft a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. The latest latest invitee is the lovable Aussie producer FISHER, who stopped by the BBC for a couple hours of the finest in house music.
Following legendary acts like Carl Cox, Eric Prydz, Above & Beyond, Hot Since 82 and Calvin Harris to name a few, FISHER is the latest star to grace the Essential Mix decks to showcase his flare for electronic music.
The official Essential Mix recording is now available to stream below and in the first hour, FISHER shares a playlist of songs that have personally inspired him, including works by the likes of Patrick Topping, Bicep, Claude Von Stroke and Maceo Plex. A track list with more of FISHER’s original work closes out the mix, most notably featuring some of his unreleased tracks.
To coincide with the Essential Mix, FISHER announced his massive Australian tour last week, with pre-sale tickets to each shows already sold out. General Release tickets are selling fast, don’t miss your chance to see FISHER on his biggest Australian tour to date.
