I’ve always wanted to do a response song, and to me, this is a female version of ‘Just Friends’ – an answer from Karen. Her vocal came from a demo I was sent, and as soon as I heard it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it and felt I had to recreate it. With Karen adding: “We wanted to capture that classic sexy melody with an emotional twist. It’s about falling in love with someone but taking it slow and asking for understanding.
