I sent her back a demo that we were both vibing to and so it was only a matter of time before we made some tweaks and changes and came up with the final version. I think the tune ended up being a perfect combo of our styles.”
Discussing the lyrical content behind the record, Janeva explains, “‘Last time’ talks about the emotional turmoil of being attached to someone that you know is bad for you. We all know what it feels like to want what we shouldn’t have, but giving in inevitably only results in temporary highs and emotional rollercoasters.”
