Legendary DJs Set To Come Together For Phil K Community Fundraiser

Phil K is the DJ’s DJ and an absolute legend of music in Australia. Over the years Phil has touched the hearts of everyone he has ever connected with whether through his personal relationships or the well-crafted music he played to fans on the dance floor.

As one of Australia’s most loved and longstanding DJs, Phil himself states in his bio that he “will always find a way to challenge both himself and the audience.” Sadly, Phil is now faced with the biggest challenge of his life, as he is bravely facing his own private battle with prostate cancer.

“I’m sure some of you have heard that I haven’t been doing so well lately. And, honestly, it’s been a pretty tough few months. Having to face my mortality, that’s not a pleasant thing for a person to have to go through and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.”

Having not been able to work since September, the bills are starting to pile up for Phil. In his time of need, the dance music community is rallying together to host a fundraising event to help ease the financial stress for Phil so he can focus on his health. Taking place on Friday, April 12th, the Phil K Fundraiser event will host a who’s who of Australian dance music legends including The Aston Shuffle, Infusion (DJ set), Simon Caldwell and Jono Fernandez to name but a few who are generously donating their time to help raise funds.

Despite his diagnosis and subsequent aggressive treatment, Phil has remained defiantly optimistic.

“I consider myself a very lucky person though. The positive out of this is that the relationships with my friends and family have grown stronger. You realise that they’re the most important things in life I’ve been through a lot of pain but I really want to get my body strong again.”

All things going well with his treatment, Phil plans to make an appearance on the night and will no doubt throw down his own legendary versatile sets to thrill fans once again.
