Sydney-based producer POOLCLVB has become one of the most respected producers on the Australian scene in recent years. Following on from his release ‘Love Track’ earlier in the year, POOLCLVB once again teams up with co-writer Nicky Night Time for ‘Runaway’. Featuring Brisbane-based indie-electronic producer Güs on vocals, ‘Runaway’ tells a sonic narrative of finding space and letting go and drops September 17th on etcetc.
POOLCLVB explains how ‘Runaway’ came about: “Runaway took shape during a period of creative change and personal development. Amidst all this uncertainty, I was learning to find solace in solitude, and with this came deep reflection. I connected with Güs on the Gold Coast once Covid travel restrictions lifted, and he played me this vocal demo that I instantly connected with. As with many things in life, we can sometimes carry with us the frayed strings of previous relationships, Runaway is a song about space and ultimately letting go…”
Güs adds, “I was super lucky to meet Danny (POOLCLVB) through a mutual mastering engineer of ours who I had used for one of my previous tracks. He put the two of us in touch and it has been the most organic process ever since – I couldn’t have asked for anything more. It was super interesting to also have Nicky Night Time onboard for this one and this track definitely highlights what artists these days can do from afar”.
POOLCLVB has continued to impress with a slew of stunning releases from the past year, including ‘Love Track’, ‘Shooting Stars’ and ‘Erase’ feat. Moli earning him well deserved praise from fans worldwide. In addition to his stellar originals, POOLCLVB has been sought out time and time again to deliver magnetic remixes for the likes of A-Trak, Golden Features, Motez, Secondcity and Set Mo, adding the undeniable POOLCLVB touch.
Now in 2021, the multifaceted producer is not slowing down any time soon, promoting wellness, self-love and delivering an exciting new series of releases.
