Starting out in the 1980s, Richie Hawtin has an impressive body of work behind him as a prominent DJ and producer and on September 2, the techno pioneer will be presented with AIM Independent’s ‘Outstanding Contribution to Music’ award.
As the latest to receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music award, he will join the likes of Bjork, Edwyn Collins and Billy Bragg and further earns the distinction as first electronic musician to be honored.
As the owner of two successful labels, plus the force behind his own Enter night in Ibiza, he’ll receive the public-nominated award at the fourth annual ceremony on September 2nd.
