To welcome the news of Eric Prydz returning to Australia early next year for Electric Gardens, it appears the festival promoters have delivered more pleasant news for the 2017 festivals.
Joining the Swedish mastermind on the tour will be none other than Sasha, Jamie Jones and Basement Jaxx.
Grammy Award nominee, four time International Dance Music Award winner and four time DJ Mag award winner, the legendary SASHA is a man who needs no introduction! If there are boundaries yet to be broken, then you can bet that Sasha has got them in the crosshairs. He’s been battering them down since Shelley’s, The Hacienda, Renaissance and Twilo; from Airdrawndagger to Invol3r. Since 2011, he’s carved a new way with his increasingly pivotal Last Night On Earth imprint, the label that has introduced into its family fiercely forward-thinking producers like My Favourite Robot’s James Teej, Simon Baker, ThermalBear, Ejeca, Ghosting Season, Max Cooper and Knox. Boundaries out of the studio have been equally unsafe. Taking over with his Last Night on Earth parties around the globe, Sasha has brought nothing but the finest line-ups to clubbers around the world. Last summer he hit the world-renowned Space Ibiza with a monthly LNOE residency, which showcased the likes of Scuba, Catz & Dogz, Heidi, Magda and of course Sasha himself.
There is no denying that JAMIE JONES is well on his way to international stardom! In just a few short years he has become widely regarded as the pioneer of a new sound of house and, along side his label, Hot Creations, credited with the emergence of a warmer, more melodic side of techno. Jamie’s constant touring schedule takes in every major city and festival around the world; including such spectacles as Glastonbury, Timewarp, and Burning Man, as well as highly esteemed clubs like Warung, Fabric, and Womb. His weekly Ibiza party, Paradise, has completed two huge seasons at DC10 and goes into its third year as the fastest growing night on the island. This success has meant that Paradise has been offered stages at some of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals, such as Tomorrowland, Global Gathering, Kazantip and BPM.
Surfacing from the underground house music scene of the late 90’s, the two times BRIT award winners and global chart toppers, BASEMENT JAXX will be bringing their high energy, distinctive DJ style to the stages of Electric Gardens festival in 2017. After 20 years, 7 albums and hit after hit that steamrollered through the charts, Basement Jaxx are the seminal funk monster that keeps an audience (young or old ) partying all night.
The three names who are synonymous with electronic dance music will be traveling with Eric Prydz to Sydney, Melbourne Brisbane and Perth next January / February.
