Seven Lions teams up with SLANDER for their highly anticipated collaboration “First Time,” which melds heavy bass and euphoric melodies for a masterful representation of both artists’ sounds. Also featuring producer Dabin and artist Dylan Matthew, “First Time” delivers blissful melodies, dreamy basslines and colorful emotions, making for a cathartic listening journey. The record comes at a very exciting moment for both artists; Seven Lions recently launched his massive “The Journey 2” tour, while SLANDER kicked off their “The Headbangers Ball” tour and are experiencing huge success with their Gud Vibrations brand. The collaboration is out now on Seven Lions’s imprint Ophelia Records.

SLANDER are known for their massive collaboration with NGHTMRE dubbed “Gud Vibrations” – a name that the producers have also used for their recently launched co-owned record label. The LA-based duo has recently released two notable tracks with vastly different sounds: “Kneel Before Me” with Crankdat featuring heavy metal band Asking Alexandria and “You Don’t Even Know Me” with RIOT. SLANDER is in the midst of headlining their “The Headbangers Ball” North American tour, hitting major cities like Las Vegas, Washington D.C., Miami, Houston, and Chicago and taking over festivals like Ultra Mexico and Holy Ship 12.0. Check out the full tour and grab tickets here.

Seven Lions recently released his four-track “Start Again” EP featuring vocals by Fiora and a collaboration with Blastoyz, which was widely regarded as one of his most emotionally intensive and poignant works yet. Seven Lions has become known for his combination of meaningful lyrics, lush soundscapes and dance floor-friendly basslines, and both the “Start Again” EP and “First Time” are prime exhibits of his unique sound. Seven Lions fans have more to look forward to within the rest of this year while he is continuing “The Journey 2” with support from Jason Ross, Au5, and MitiS. Tickets for “The Journey 2” are available now and can be purchased here.

Dabin is no stranger to working with Seven Lions, as he’s previously released material on Ophelia Records and remixed the anthemic “Freesol”. The Toronto native also just released a new single called “Altitude” with Fytch. Dabin has been working to incorporate live instruments into his shows and has performed live alongside Illenium and Said The Sky.

Renowned Canadian producer REZZ has unleashed her latest musical project, ‘IT’S NOT A PHASE’ EP, a mesmerizing exploration of goth-inspired rocktronic compositions that pay homage to her early musical influences. Released under her own label HypnoVizion, the EP ventures beyond the confines of mid-tempo bass music, featuring collaborations with rock and alternative heavyweights such as Silverstein, Grabbitz, Tim Henson of Polyphia, and Johnny Goth. The focus track of the EP, “Dreamstate,” transports listeners to the realm of massive emo hits from the 2000s, infused with a strikingly modern and heavy bassline that only REZZ could conceive. Reflecting on the inspiration behind ‘IT’S NOT A PHASE,’ REZZ shares, “With this goth EP, I’ve really encapsulated some of my early inspiration musically before I even got into dance music. I grew up listening to bands exclusively, and over time developed an understanding of what it was about those songs that I loved. Lots of use of guitar, eerie melodies, and distorted basses – this is a blend between sounds I’m known for while also expanding on my range with using new vocal styles & instruments.” Having garnered tremendous success throughout her career, REZZ has amassed tens of millions of streams to date and achieved sold-out performances at legendary venues worldwide. She has headlined renowned festivals including Coachella, Austin City Limits, EDC, Electric Forest, Creamfields, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, and more. Notably, her collaboration with Grabbitz, “Someone Else,” released via RCA Records in 2020, amassed over 50 million streams, reached #15 on the Alternative Radio Chart in the US, and secured the #1 position in Canada. REZZ’s remarkable live performances have enthralled audiences worldwide, with her five consecutive sold-out shows at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, including two nights scheduled for August 2023. With over 300 performances to her name, REZZ has consistently sold out venues ranging from 3,500 to 10,000 capacity, while also captivating festival crowds of over 50,000 attendees. The ‘IT’S NOT A PHASE’ EP follows the success of previous releases including ‘Blue In The Face,’ ‘Signals,’ and the recent single ‘Embers.’ Through this latest offering, REZZ continues to cement her position as an innovative and genre-defying artist.

    • Hardwell drops ‘Anybody Out There’ collab with AZTECK and Alex Hepburn hardwell-2023-feature

Hardwell, the renowned electronic music icon, makes a triumphant return with his latest track, ‘Anybody Out There.’ Following his world-beating tour and the highly acclaimed album REBELS NEVER DIE, Hardwell continues to push boundaries by combining his edgier production style from the album with a more vocal-driven sound. Teaming up with DJ/producer AZTECK and vocalist Alex Hepburn, ‘Anybody Out There’ captures the raw, unfiltered energy that has become synonymous with Hardwell’s recent work while infusing an undeniable pop sensibility that is poised to dominate both dancefloors and airwaves this summer. In Hardwell’s own words, “Although my new sound is much harder-edged and techier, I still love the beauty of vocal-based electronic music. Every genre, from house music and trance to electro and techno, has given the dancefloor magical moments through big vocal tracks. That feeling a big vocal song has on a festival crowd is hard to describe, but when that moment comes, it’s intoxicating.” The collaboration with AZTECK was a natural choice for Hardwell, given their previous work together. Recognized for his exceptional production skills and keen ear for captivating toplines, AZTECK’s recent successful releases attest to his talent. Hardwell shares his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Azteck and I have known each other for a while, having previously worked together on music. As his recent run of form proves, he’s a great producer with a fantastic ear for a topline. So, I knew a big vocal collab with Azteck would be a fire release for the summer. But the track needed a specific type of voice to make it work, and the unique raspy quality of Alex’s voice made her the perfect fit for the distorted topline on ‘Anybody Out There’.” ‘Anybody Out There’ holds a special significance for Hardwell as it represents his desire to infuse his new style into a vocal-driven anthem that combines various elements of his sound to create a captivating hybrid track. Reflecting on the process, he explains, “This track is special to me because I’d been longing to repurpose my new style into a vocal-driven anthem that blended other elements of my sound to create a sort of hybrid track. It needed the right emotion in the track, the right chords, and perfect balance in arrangement to fit the current sound.” With its fusion of cutting-edge electronic music and infectious vocals, ‘Anybody Out There’ promises an unparalleled audio experience that pushes the boundaries of live performance. Hardwell’s creative vision, combined with the talents of AZTECK and Alex Hepburn, guarantees an unforgettable musical journey for listeners. ‘Anybody Out There’ signifies Hardwell’s evolution as an artist, showcasing his willingness to experiment and explore new sonic territories while staying true to his core essence. Prepare to be captivated by this edgy vocal anthem that seamlessly blends hard-hitting production and melodic hooks.
