3LAU’s debut Anjunabeats smash, ‘Tokyo’ feat. XIRA, returns with a heavy-hitting rework from melodic bass pioneer, Seven Lions.

Following chart topping results and acquiring satellite radio giant Sirius XM BPM’s most played track for a whopping four weeks (still on high rotation), ‘Tokyo’ is re-imagined in Seven Lions’ signature, thumping style.

‘Tokyo’ has previously recently been remixed by Fatum, and British drum & bass producer Monrroe, but now takes on a fresh new spin from Seven Lions. The remix embodies the high-energy progression and heavy melodic bass drops Seven Lions is most known for and is guaranteed to have dance floors across the globe moving (when they’re back open from COVID).

It’s been a big twelve months for Seven Lions. The Ophelia Records label boss teamed up with Above & beyond on the chart topping collaboration ‘See The End’ which dominated the dance music charts.

Seven Lions then surprised fans with the release of his ‘Find Another Way’ EP, marking his first EP in eighteen months. With 2020 in full swing, Seven Lions has kept the ball rolling teaming up with Jason Ross on ‘Known You Before’ and now this fresh new remix for 3LAU. Out now on Beatport and all streaming platforms, dive into the wonderful sounds of 3LAU and Seven Lions below.

    • Adventure Club & Jessica Audiffred Join Forces on New Single “HERO” hero-adventure-club-jessica-audiffred-oz-edm

The Montreal-based duo and Mexico City’s dubstep powerhouse connect for a festival destroyer. Montreal-based duo Adventure Club and Mexico City native Jessica Audiffred are uniting for a festival-ready dubstep destroyer on Bassrush Records. “HERO” is a relentless rager that mixes classic reese bass builds with raucous riddim. The release marks Jessica’s fifth single on the label and follows her most recent collaboration “Dale” with Riot Ten. Primed for festival season domination, “HERO” is a weapon of track that fuses the talents of Adventure Club and Jessica Audiffred exceptionally. The revving reese basses set the tone, as breakbeat drums and pitched vocals enhance the excitement. As the tension hits its climax, the track descends into a cacophony of drilling industrial sound design, laser synths, punching percussion, and guttural low-end. The explicit out-of-breathe pre-drop vocals match the pace and intensity while distorted chants amplify the anthemic appeal. “HERO” is an impenetrable force with villainous undertones proving that, sometimes to overcome evil, you need to embrace it. Taking listeners on a rollercoaster riddled with heart-pumping highs and sinister drops, the collaboration is primed to take over the summer. Touching on the excitement of their new collab, Adventure Club says, “It’s incredibly exciting to have another release with Jessica! She’s so talented and we hope all our fans enjoy ‘HERO.’ Jessica Audiffred echoes their anticipation, stating, “The followup to our last collab, this one is a lot heavier than the last and very recognizable from our live sets. We already know you guys love it; excited to finally make it available to you all.” Adventure Club is a Grammy-nominated production duo hailing from Montreal. The pair first connected in a pop punk band before refining their vision in the electronic space. The duo have become internationally renowned for their expansive sound that ranges from festival-ready dubstep to melodic EDM. Adventure Club are hot off of their 25-stop ‘Heroes & Villains’ Tour and are gearing up for their headline show at LA Historic Park, as well as festival dates at EDC Las Vegas, Forbidden Kingdom, Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge, and Dancefestopia. Mexico’s crown jewel Jessica Audiffred has risen to the top of the ranks of the dubstep scene with her bass-heavy sound. Her music has gained support from some of the scene’s foremost tastemakers including Excision, Doctor P, Illenium, and Hekler. She is riding high off her debut headline show at Hollywood Palladium, as part of her immersive ‘Mad House’ Tour, and is sitting on a stacked run of festival dates including EDC Las Vegas, Forbidden Kingdom Festival, Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge, Bonnaroo, and Ubbi Dubbi. “HERO” is a destructive dubstep weapon that is built to take over the impending festival season.

    • Subtronics Confirms Sophomore Album “TESSERACT” subtronics-tesseract-oz-edm

The spiritual successor to “FRACTALS” arrives on February 16th, 2024. Subtronics, the maestro of bass music, has once again embarked on a journey into the realm of unstable particles with the announcement of his highly-anticipated sophomore album, “TESSERACT.” Following the success of his debut album, “FRACTALS,” released just over two years ago, Subtronics is gearing up to unveil the next chapter in his musical odyssey. Scheduled to drop on Friday, February 16th, “TESSERACT” not only shares its name with the bass music superstar’s current tour but also promises to redefine the boundaries of his sonic universe. The year 2024 has already proven to be a whirlwind for Subtronics, who recently announced his fourth Red Rocks takeover, “Cyclops Rocks,” and unleashed his second collaboration with Rezz, titled “Black Ice.” Reflecting on “TESSERACT,” Subtronics expressed his vision for the album as a pivotal moment in his artistic evolution. “I hope [TESSERACT] leaves a long-lasting impact on the listener and the dance music community as a whole. It is truly something I can look back on in 30 years and still be proud of because I know that this is the sound I am truly passionate about, and I really gave it my everything. This album is my second child, more than two years in the making, and I poured everything I could into it.” In conjunction with the album, the team behind Cyclops Recordings has meticulously crafted a bespoke audiovisual experience, perfectly complementing the otherworldly essence of “TESSERACT.” Commenting on the album’s sonic landscape, Subtronics elaborated, “Sonically speaking, I believe this wholly represents my personality and sound as best as I can thus far, with the things I have learned over the years, in conjunction with what I have recently been inspired by. ‘TESSERACT’ is a proper sequel to my first album ‘FRACTALS,’ and in the same sense, I once again aimed to demonstrate my range in style, sound, and emotion. Some songs are meant for the dancefloor, some are meant for the car, and some are meant to serenade you to sleep. I am trying as best I can to create an immersive alternative reality with a magical yet sci-fi-esque world of energy and feeling across the entire spectrum.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Subtronics (@subtronics)
