The Seven Lions: 1999 EP is melodic dance veteran Seven Lions‘ first official full foray into trance, seeing him remix some of the biggest hits in his catalog and modern popular dance music. Spread across four tracks, the EP includes updated 2021 flips of “Worlds Apart”, one of his breakout major label tracks, the classic festival singalong anthem “Rush Over Me”, a Seven Lions classic 2012 “Days To Come” and his trance collab on Anjunabeats with Jason Ross “Higher Love”.
Seven Lions is no stranger to the trance world, having collaborated with acts like Above & Beyond and Jason Ross, headlining festivals like Dreamstate SoCal and events including ABGT 250 at the Gorge, and leading the scene in bridging the sonic gap between the worlds of trance and dubstep.
Producer Seven Lions has never had a problem breaking rules and transcending musical boundaries to satisfy his creative vision. Catching his break after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep-focused version of Above & Beyond’s “You Got to Go”, Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, garnered support from the likes of Anjunabeats, Casablanca Records, OWSLA, Viper Recordings, Republic Records, and Monstercat over the past eight years. After years of floating around from labels, Seven Lions compiled his own label in 2018 called Ophelia Records. Since its emergence, the melodic bass label has made its imprint being
voted the Best Label of 2019 by r/edm and hosting festival stage takeovers across the country.
Putting sheer technical production prowess to work in soulful, deep, hybridized creations all distinctly his own, the multi-talented musician is single-handedly changing the sonic landscape for future generations to come by bridging the gap between the soaring, ethereal vibe of trance and intensely adrenalizing bass music.
His productions have seen stages at world-renowned festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival (New York and Las Vegas), Electric Forest, Electric Zoo, South by Southwest, and HARD.
